Stars Died For You

Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics. You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded. Because the elements, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron etc, all the things that matter for evolution weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars. And the only way they could get into your body is if the stars were kind enough to explode. So forget Jesus. The stars died so you could be here today." You should be grateful that the stars died so you could live.

pfff i dont believe 'n any of dis new fangled peer review or decades of rigorous "scientific" study regarding fancy schmancy supernovas. ima from alaaabaaama. ROLLLLLL TIIIIIIIDE you limp-wristed "intellectual" hippy faggots!

What caused the stars to explode?

It is a fact that stars do explode. But why? Cosmological theory says it is caused by the acquisition of mass beyond the Chandrasekhar limit. There is a hypothesis that explosion is related to an intrinsic metric variable. This variable is a parameter for all possible velocity components attributed to a star. If the vector sum of all these components is zero, the star will explode. Does that help?

dixie the big bang did not create the heavier elements in the universe. those came later with the explosion of stars. we are literally made up of elements that are a direct result of supernovas.

Let's all light up some joss sticks, roll up a spliff, hold hands and listen to the music.

Supernovas existed before the Big Bang?

Maybe, we don't know. There are numerous theories about the big bang, one of them being that the big bang wasn't the 'first' in the cosmic sense, so if you subscribe to that theory, yes.
