Steelers QB and former OSU star Dwayne Haskins struck and KILLED by car

I am afraid that we might get "Well we dont know about any goodbye messages, so we cant be sure", in spite of the fact that there is almost no other reasonable explanation for what he did. I hope that they at least have looked at his phone, and that the family did not raise a stink about it but I have no idea.....there is an information embargo on.

You're really worried about that, huh?

You see this story, and that's what you're concerned about?

There is a lot of pressure on young pro athletes to LIVE UP TO their fans expectations of them. Many times they cant. Most can handle the failure,...some cant.

1982.... Brewers/Angels...American league championship series. Angels ONE STRIKE away from going to the world series. Donnie Hill was in the game as their reliever to get the save. Hill was a FANTASTIC pitcher. He nerved up and threw a bad pitch right down the middle of the plate.. POW...Brewer hits it out of the park. Game over,.....Brewers go to world series, Angels go home. Hill was CRUSHED. Was getting hate mail and phone calls. Couple weeks or so later he took his own life. I might not have the story PERFECT,.....long time ago. But Im damn close.

It is pretty clear that this guy never past Ohio State tried very hard to live up to expectations....he was more about the great story that he had to sell/brand than the work.

And even at OS he did not, he bolted as soon as he could.

I have told the story of Mr McDonald, the Catholic friend of the family who in something like 22 years committed suicide by way of eating salt and smoking 3.5 packs a day of Kool unfiltered, and enormous quantities of Christian Bros brandy.

There is building a massive revolt against the WOKE religion.

Probably one of the last posts I make in here about this because really,....if people STILL dont know what time it is YET,...they arent ever going to. So,....ts pointless. We wont lose this battle,...thats a fact. But we are battling something far worse and sinister than just woke. Woke is a joke. Woke is just one little minor head of the hydra. No,.....this battle is against something far worse than woke, or China,...or anything else in the realm of man. This is a spiritual battle. We are going to go thru the darkest times Humanity has endured,.......but WE WILL PREVAIL.

Responses to Dwayne Haskins' death expose ugly truths about sports fans | Opinion

A 24-year-old man tragically died over the weekend when a dump truck struck him on a highway in south Florida.

He was a son, a brother, a husband and friend to many. And he just happened to play quarterback in the NFL.

Those are the facts. And that is how everyone should remember Dwayne Haskins, whose life prematurely ended early Saturday morning.

But sadly, that’s not the lens through which many instinctively viewed the tragedy.

As at least two prominent members of the media rushed to pass judgment on Haskins’ playing career or lifestyle. As countless trolls did the same, and in some cases even made light of the situation, a disturbing truth came to light.

We as a society have reached a very ugly place where empathy is a foreign concept and where we refuse to view professional athletes as human beings.

That’s the only explanation as to why anyone’s gut reaction to the news surrounding Haskins would fall under anything other than sadness for him and sympathy for his family and friends.

If you are commenting on how he squandered his gifts, if you are not crying for the dead black man, then you are defective say the WOKE.

Dont worry about it. Also,...I shouldnt have been so cranky with you ,....it was uncalled for. No excuse,...but Ive had a little ear infection going on, antibiotics, over tired and crabby,...yada yada yada. So just wanted to apologize for taking things farther then they needed to go.

No worries. This is very nice of you, and I hope your ear is feeling better now. I'm sorry for the way I went off the rails. Not that this is an excuse, but Steelers fans can be incredibly sensitive to anything said about the team. If I had no self-control I'd be picking fights in bars when games didn't go our way. We are just so intense here! And as you've seen, not always in a good way.

Peace.
