And, that's my point. Even at this point having someone who is viable with good name recognition is important and the Democrats don't have that.

She wasn’t successful because she had little political weight, when was the last time a House Representative made a serious run for the nomination in either party, especially one coming from a small State. And if she wasn’t as you claim “sufficiently leftist” why did she support Biden’s nomination?

And by the way, Biden won, and won fairly substantially

The DNC is absolutely certain of this. You might want to tell the DNC that any woman candidate still needs to be likeable to some degree and be able to answer at least some of the questions she is asked.


Andy would have to explain why he wants unlimited do-overs for illegal immigrants who have already been duly processed and issued deportation orders. He is a vociferous advocate of illegal immigrants getting unlimited "due processes". He also believes in "common sense" infringements on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. He would have to address that plank as well.


His problem is that he is a WACKY Climate Change fanatic who opposes drilling for oil and who opposes deporting illegal immigrants. He would need serious rebranding.

Reagan and Obama are the most consequential presidents of my lifetime.

Reagan was a moderate compared to todays Republicans.

He sat in the relative safety of his base writing articles about the real war vets while Duckworth was out flying a helicopter and got shot down by an RPG.
IMO she would make a really good President.
And it does matter because who ever it is that becomes President after Trump is going to have a huge job cleaning up his mess.

Duckworth is ineligible. She was born in Thailand. Yes, her father was a US citizen, but not there in any official capacity of the US government. That means she isn't a US citizen by birth but rather naturalized.

She IS an AMERICAN citizen Her mother was an American read her history , she IS eligible.
