A friend of my best friend's mother is a lesbian in an abusive relationship, such that her children are now living with their father. The notion that lesbians are somehow incapable of abusive behavior simply by virtue of their sexual preference is utter tripe.

The whole reason I posted the article was the headline on the sfgate website yesterday said lesbians NEVER abuse their children. Liked I said I have a gay aunt who I love. My post had nothing to do with trying to put down lesbians or anything of the sort. It was how do you say a group of people NEVER do something when it can be so easily proven otherwise? So I posted using the headline sfgate used. The headline and article aren't up today on the site because they have new articles up as most newspapers do on a daily basis. So Desh looks today and can't find it and calls me a liar as a result? I'm sorry but fuck her.

Who doesn't get accused of lying? Yurt's made a cottage industry out of calling people liars. PmP does it often. Just to name two people who've used it against me and plenty of others as well.

I agree with you about the headline and I agree with Charver that the study included 78 people only, and they weren't abused. So it looks like the headline was one of those hooks to draw people in to read the article.

IMO it's no different from those articles that blame the entire Muslim population for the acts of terrorists. The articles don't hold up to scrutiny.

The SFGate will no doubt be getting plenty of letters to the editor complaining about this. I should probably bookmark their site to follow up on it.
