Study Suggests That Wimpier Men Hold Liberal Views

No, it doesn't, why should she care about a falsehood?

That would be true, if it was a falsehood.

I did find a picture of her bike.

I either bang it on the counter or run hot water over it, then viola'

Language is a wonderful thing.
You go into a shop with a jar of pickles and bang it on the counter?
Why don't you just bang it on the worktop in your kitchen?
;)

[h=1]Men who are physically strong are more likely to have right wing political views[/h]
  • Weaker men more likely to support welfare state and wealth redistribution
  • Link may reflect psychological traits that evolved in our ancestors
  • Strength was a proxy for ability to defend or acquire resources
  • There is no link between women's physical strength and political views

Men who are physically strong are more likely to take a right wing political stance, while weaker men are inclined to support the welfare state, according to a new study.

Researchers discovered political motivations may have evolutionary links to physical strength.

Men's upper-body strength predicts their political opinions on economic redistribution, according to the research.

The principal investigators - psychological scientists Michael Bang Petersen, of Aarhus University in Denmark, and Daniel Sznycer, of the University of California in the U.S., believe that the link may reflect psychological traits that evolved in response to our early ancestral environments and continue to influence behaviour today.

Professor Petersen said: ‘While many think of politics as a modern phenomenon, it has - in a sense - always been with our species.’

In the days of our early ancestors, decisions about the distribution of resources were not made in courthouses or legislative offices, but through shows of strength.

With this in mind, Professor Petersen and Professor Sznycer hypothesised that upper-body strength - a proxy for the ability to physically defend or acquire resources - would predict men's opinions about the redistribution of wealth.

The researchers collected data on bicep size, socio-economic status, and support for economic redistribution from hundreds of people in the United States, Argentina and Denmark.

In line with their hypotheses, the data revealed that wealthy men with high upper-body strength were less likely to support redistribution, while less wealthy men of the same strength were more likely to support it.

"Survival of the fittest" with humans. Should be the new Libertarian logo.

The doctors told my daughter with Cerebral Palsy that she was way below weight this week. Should the good citizens of society ditch her as a "runt" or should society come together and treat her like a human? I forget....is it United We Stand or is it Solo I Stand? I guess I'm not good at History.

I know you are more focused on lazy people but you clearly haven't even looked into what government programs are for and what the average American is fighting for. It's not just a lot of lazy turds.

Maybe fight Government Fraud instead of fighting the majority opinion that wants to help the TRUELY disabled people...........(I know you will say it's a bad thought because we haven't went through the process of an amendment yet you have seen recently that the Right Wing doesn't care about what the public thinks and they think the Constitution is solid forever instead of We the People.)

Do not be so quick to assume that there do not exist many disciplined among us (the generic us, as I would never consider any action that would be against the almighty all loving wonderful government).

He is (R)ight.

I live in one of the more uneducated states in the USA and there are floods of people ready to start a war over the things Corporate America tells them are true.

Scary! I feel like my home state is that way as well.

The only "Scary" thing is to do the research media doesn't do. Research the "most educated states vs least educated states" and put them up against "most educated states vs least"

Basically the % markers line up pretty solid with the Left on Education.

And even more, notice the least educated states and the most Right Wing states act like they are 3rd world countries that haven't evolved much beyond the Middle East. "Problem prevention is not necessary. If I see a problem, I will shoot it in the face"
