SUPERBOWL another slap in the face for trump and his band of trait

That's what I'm talking about....yum...
Optimistic is good....I hope you've got good cheese, good pickles and plenty of potatoes;)
In your honor, I'll get out the gretna;)

UM Pickles?

May I please have an explanation?

I have everything else, we always have lots of fabulous international cheeses.

Look like everyone is excited for the game.... Is this the unity we were promised?;)

I know. Its actually so funny to sit back and watch. They are sooooooooooo bitter. Always looking BACK instead of FORWARD. The very definition of regressive. ;) There is good reason for this. They KNOW as we do that they hitched their wagon to a losing horse. They also know that by now controlling all aspects of Govt there will be no hiding what is to come and who exactly caused it. The blame game is over now. Heavy wears the crown....;)

They also know that in the not too distant future they will have to answer to over 330 million people for what they have done. Like the old song goes.....Nowhere to run to baby.... nowhere to hide...

Hello blackascoal,

I was no football fan. I couldn't give two hoots about football while President Obama was leading us.

But that all changed after Trump took office and began his verbal assault on the NFL. The day Trump said everyone should boycott the NFL was the day I became a fan. I did so on purpose. Now I think it's great. I wonder how many other people did the exact same thing. The NFL seems to get the message too. They are definitely aware of their widely inclusive viewership.

I love all the little messages of equality on the backs of the helmets and in the endzones. That's awesome. It has made me proud to be an NFL fan.

I would like to see other sports adopt that same type of messaging.

We should have that kind of messaging all throughout society. Everywhere you look there should be a little subtle reminder that racism and hatred are wrong.

The extremists have gotten far too much exposure through the internet and social media. It's about time society sends a loud and clear message about what the vast majority of us think.

Racism is wrong.

Hatred is wrong.

I could hardly be more pleased with the NFL for embracing that message.

The only thing that's missing is Colin Kaepernick on the field.

Is the NFL really a woke league though?

Depending on one’s perspective they:

1) blackballed Kaep = racist

2) a number of owners donated to/supported Trump = racist

3) in a league that is 70% (or more) black players owners continue to not hire black coaches and GM’s = racist

This may be a minority opinion, but I’ve seen it expressed, that the NFL putting out messages such as ‘end racism’ is simply theater to cover and hide for their own racism.

I'm looking forward to the game.

And if I see somebody wearing a helmet that says: "Black Lives Matter," I will be just fine with that.

Good points, all.

The league has come a long way but still has a ways yet to go.

This radicalism of the NFL was driven by players.

You are claiming that the majority black NFL players are racist....and a lot of them are....they are out to hurt white people.

You've got to have good pickles with raclette...cornichons are traditional, I think...but any good pickle....pickled onions are good too;)

Should all political statements be allowed on helmets/jerseys/the field?

OK....now we are getting somewhere!

How about pickled hot peppers and what is the point, why are they good here.....is it because they pair well with the fat of the cheese?

But yes....my pantry always has that stuff....I am a retired chef you might have heard.....and I refuse to suffer...we eat good all the time around here...really good!

what a strange thread......when was anyone stupid enough to think Trump wanted to cancel the NFL just because a handful of mindless jocks who had to be coddled just to graduate from college didn't know how to stand on their own two feet.......
