Some sushi tastes good, most tastes like raw fish and spinach. I use it as a wasabi delivery device more than I eat it for flavor.

Some of the best fish dishes I've ever tasted have been Sushi. I know a Sushi joint my wife used to work at in Morresville, NC. They had a cooked sushi roll called "Red Snapper Nirvana", it was basically a Cali roll with thin slices of Red Snapper on top with some spritz of a ginger sauce and a shrimp sauce then placed on a broiler plate and broiled till the Red Snapper was cooked and the sauce started to carmelize. It was to die for!!

A crawfish. Essentially a mini lobster.

They are referred to as Crawfish in Mississippi. This seems to be a corruption of the term "Crayfish". They're basically small lobsters.

How To Peel Crawfish


Hungry for Crawfish?


1. Pick a nice crawfish with a big tail
(that’s where all of the meat is!)

2. Hold the body and grab the tail.

3. Twist the tail to loosen it from the body.

4. Pull the tail away from the body.

5. Pinch the tail just above the fans.

6. This makes the meat pop out from the shell.

7. Pull the tail meat out and enjoy.

Or, for the true die-hard, stick your pinkie in the body and scoop out the fat.

Tasty crawfish fat to be licked off the pinkie. Mmm good.

We have a cajun restaurant here that serves a appetizer of crawdads that's essentially a 2lbs bucket of them. As an appetizer.

No Rocky Mountain oysters for me, never will I eat headcheese. Escargot I love, crawdad is awesome.

Every once in a while they'll appear in the sea food section of the local grocery and my wife will wipe them out. She has literally purchased their entire inventory (5 to 10 lbs). I like doing boils with sweet corn, sausage, potatoes but I also like crawfish etouffee.
