You understand that question answers itself. What China gains from taking Taiwan is Taiwan.

But it gains so much more. It shows yet again that trump is a paper tiger. Has anyone noticed from Rwanda to Russia, no country is afraid to kill dissidents anywhere in the world. There is no longer a respect for America.

You're talking about Trump? Taiwan has been an issue since before WW2. Gaining Taiwan hurts China...they gain nothing they need and they make the rest of the world not trust them.

Before WWII, there was no attempt to take Taiwan back from Japan. After WWII, Taiwan was part of China, so still no issue. It was not until the civil war, and the retreat of the Nationalists to Taiwan that there was a problem.

Two years ago, I would have agreed that China would not break its promise to keep Hong Kong's system independent. Today, I know that China really does not care what the rest of the world thinks about what it views as its internal affairs. It does not care what we think about its treatment of the Uighurs or Tibetans.

There is NO WAY for an American entrepreneur to compete w/ free freight & no taxes.............

The freight alone would be multiple times more than any profits made on the dollar or two object +the TAXES to be collected could be as well..WTF??
