Tancredo: Arizona Went Too Far

By Big Tent Democrat,

MileHi Hawkeye points us to this:
Former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO), who crusaded for tough anti-immigration measures while in Congress, told KDVR-TV that while he supported the new immigration law in Arizona he thought it went too far. Said Tancredo: "I do not want people here, there in Arizona, pulled over because you look like should be pulled over."
(Emphasis supplied.) As MileHi says, if Tancredo thinks you went too far in Latino loathing and immigrant bashing, then you probably crossed the line about 100 hundred miles back.

Not surprisingly I agree. Again, a better law would be to simply enforce a requirement on employers to use E-Verify and to actually fine employers who hire people whose identifications do not match.

This is classic liberal propaganda smear campaign tactics at it's finest. For a week, every left-wing news outlet in the country has been making one false outrageous claim after another, outright lying about what is in the bill, and what it allows, and turning it into a pariah, and now they finally get a crack in the armor! A prominent right-winger steps up to the plate to AGREE with their blatherings, and well... it's over, might as well accept it as a FACT that this law is bad and republicans are racists who went way too far!

And here is our own Damo, buying into the propaganda himself, joining the liberals in total condemnation of the right, because I guess he thinks it makes him look objective and reasonable, someone the pinheads could have a beer with! You did it with Bush, Cheney, Iraq, McCain, Palin... now Arizona's Illegal Immigration law. And it works EVERY time... just keep throwing out the lies and distortions long enough, and some idiot right-winger eventually breaks rank and takes your side on the issue, and gives credibility to the lies and distortion, and you win! When are people like Damo, McCain, Graham and Tancredo wise up to this? You are being fooled, tricked, manipulated, by a well-organized left-wing propaganda machine who knows exactly which buttons to push and how to 'spin' things to play on your emotions.

The law (and I have read every page of it) does NOT do anything except reinforce the federal laws against illegal immigration, and reassert the local law enforcements responsibility to uphold the law. THAT'S ALL IT DOES! It's not a "violation of rights" or "encroachment on the constitution", it doesn't give law enforcement free reign to act like the Gestapo or usurp civil liberties! It just fucking DOESN'T! Period! I can't believe intelligent people like Damo or Tom Tancredo are being suckered by this absolute bullshit being poured on thick and heavy by the left, it blows my mind! Damo, are you outta your goddamn mind?

That's a good argument if I've ever heard one.

Well what do you want me to say, it fucking DOESN'T! That's all! I've read the law, and it says NOTHING about circumventing civil liberties, or anything remotely close! It states very clearly that law enforcement MUST respect provisions of "reasonable suspicion" and "probable cause" just like it does in enforcement of any goddamn law on the books! There is absolutely NOTHING in the law to the contrary! Yet, the left has outright LIED about it for a fucking week, and here we have people on the right, apparently too fucking lazy to read the damn law, or too fucking stupid to understand the same goddamn liberal tactic being deployed once again! It's absolutely stunning!

We have ILLEGAL immigrants crossing the borders in fucking DROVES, everyday along the Mexican border, and Arizona passes a law to TRY and do something to curtail it to some degree, before these people completely bankrupt the state draining their social services resources, and this is what they get for the effort? Fuck you all! Let's just goddamn ANNEX Mexico!

Take a couple of Valium, Dixie, and go back to bed. You'll feel better later on this morning. :)

Relax Professor.

Tancredo also said he totally supported the law and wishes they had it in Colorado. Just that he thinks it’s it might be a tad uncouth for cops to start pulling over people with brown skin.

Translation: Tancredo, the far rightwing extremist is totally down with Gestapo laws, even if the last remaining shreds of his humanity can recognize and muster up a tiny little bit of discomfort.

In other words, it’s the attitude of the perfect Nazi supporter/sympathizer; i.e. that whole “if you didn’t resist when they came for the Jews.....” narrative.

All that said, I would suggest that Rep. John Boner stay out of Arizona for the time being, unless he wants to be profiled; aka pulled over while driving brown. Mr. Tanning Salon Boner has burnt himself into an orange crisp with all those trips to the tanning salon spa.

Calls for boycott follow Arizona

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36791991/ns/us_news-the_new_york_times

I lived in Arizona at the time doing the last boycott against this state, it worked too!

Arizona was one of the last states to adopt a holiday honoring Martin Luther King — a reluctance that led to a boycott in the 1980s that cost the city hundreds of conventions and the Super Bowl XXVII, in 1993. The pressure, and the financial pinch, led the state to put the holiday on the ballot. Voters approved the measure, making Martin Luther King Day a holiday. Steps like the one proposed by San Francisco would remind the state's lawmakers their decision could have economic and political consequences, Herrera said.

if the law only seeks to enforce federal law (and everything i've seen indicates it is just that, nothing more)....why is it you're calling the AZ law racist and not the federal law? how do federal agents enforce the law?

You were right, only I didn't need the Valium! I just needed to do some research. Turns out, the only place I can find this alleged "quote" from Tancredo, is on Huffington Post and plastered all over the left-wing blogs. From everything I can find on credible and reputable news sites, it appears Tancredo likes the bill and wishes Colorado would pass something similar. Apparently he agrees with "going too far" to deal with this particular problem!

In other words, this was a LIE just like the rest of the LIES you've been telling all week about this. You people don't know how to be honest any more than you know how to peacefully protest! For MONTHS we've listened to this bullshit about how "violent" the Tea Party protesters had the potential to be, with all these massive protests, but turn on the news today and you'll see the AZ law protesters vandalizing and hurling rocks at police in Phoenix! So not only are you blatant LIARS, but two-faced hypocrites as well.

But then, I knew this already.
