Remember Obamacare? To pass it they wheeled Robert Byrd into the Senate chamber directly from his hospital bed where he lay nearly dead to cast the deciding vote...

What Robert Byrd's death means
America's longest-serving legislator, Sen. Robert Byrd, died Monday morning. Here's a look at his life and how his death affects the nationtheweek.com
In the true fashion of Communist politburo members, this sort doesn't give up their grasp on power until it is taken from their cold dead hands by force.
In Byrd's case, both. He was 92 when he died and had been in office nearly 52 years. He died during his last term in office.Old age and infirmity are one thing; terms in office are another.
Thanks for your vote.![]()
She isn't wearing her signature high heels
The Senate is 6 year terms , 2 terms is enough for them the House is 2 year terms so let them have 6 terms . 12 years in Congress is enough.Old age and infirmity are one thing; terms in office are another.

OR make Congress and the Presidency the same 2 4 year terms . make it so they are all staggered, President one year , Senate the next and the House the next and a year off.

And the SCOTUS should also have term limits , No more then 8 years like all the other offices of the Federal gov. we elect.
Those should be, just as they are in many other sectors of the economy and life. We just saw that Biden was unfit to hold office due entirely to age for example.Still separate issues. Old age is no bar. Infirmity is not a disqualifier.

I'd say 3 terms in the Senate or House not serving more than 12 years maximum with no crossover. That is a cumulative total of 3 terms in one or both max. I'd also eliminate all retirement and other post service benefits. So you agree that two terms is enough in the Senate.
Why aren't two terms in the House enough?
Should the terms be the same for both legislative offices?

Well the House terms are only 2 year terms , would you want them changed to 4 year terms? So you agree that two terms is enough in the Senate.

Change the CONSTITUTION to make it 2 four year terms for judges of the SC.I'd agree with that.
That's more complicated. I'm not sure it's feasible.
That would be unconstitutional.
Article III, Section 1 of the United States Constitution states that federal judges, including Supreme Court Justices, "shall hold their Offices during good Behavior," which has been interpreted to mean lifetime tenure unless they resign, retire, die, or are impeached and removed from office.

That is what I was saying. As long as they're equal, it might make sense.
That is what I was saying.
