The theology of groups like Al-Quaeda obviously does not mesh well with more moderate theology. I doubt this is going to have any effect at all - it's just restating what's already been said.

It is a very good idea to make a huge display like this. Restating it in a letter to the editor, not effective, gathering together in large groups and getting media to come and take pictures and get your message out, effective. It isn't meant to change al Qaeda, it is meant to show people here that they really are against what is happening.
