That 'C'-Word Thang

In the interest of full disclosure I have used the word cunt a few times in reference to a few female members on here:

One time I called desh a cunt because she made a completely baseless false accusation with me. When she was presented with the evidence in black and white proving I did not say what she was accusing me of, she continued with her false accusations. So I called her a cunt. *shrug*

The other time I called the patronizing bitch (sorry) saoirse a cunt.

I don't use it a lot and try not to let myself get angry to the point where I use it.

But I'm not sorry for having used it when I've had.

Please. If somebody called your Mom or your wife a c*nt and you didn't go off on them, you'd have to turn in your testicles and your man-card.
 
If you read Trainspotting or Filth both by Irvine Welsh you will see the word used any number of times directed at men. I tend to agree that the US seems to be a little more affected by the word. But if everyone would read the book CUNT maybe that might change. I don't use it because it does rile people up, even if it is used in much the same way Welsh does.

Ignoring the regressive female stereotype of the damsel in distress that you are applying to your mother and your wife, most people would have that reaction about ANYTHING negative being said to or about their mother or spouse, especially a vulgarity.

As I said, to my knowledge it is only in America where the misogynistic stigma exists (although it is admittedly vulgar in all English speaking countries).

So we agree that Damo is FOS and that some words are offensive. Some are even inflammatory. Words like c*nt or n*gger or f*g fall into that category. And if someone called my Mom a c*nt, or my girlfriend a n*gger, it would be an escalation of insult beyond garden variety words like dork or dummy.

Cypriss, as much as it is adorable to watch you try to cover your ass, we see your homophobia on a dialy basis-- typing "fag" with a "*" is not going to make it go away.

We don't agree that Damo is full of shit-- we agree that you are full of shit, as are all of your little buddies.

Just take a look in this thread--- even the people that disagree with my language aren't bandwagoning like you had hoped they would, because they acknowledge that it is, after all, a word. So far only you, Darla, Lorax, and Uscitizen have raised any fuss.

I don't like it used towards others though, they may not feel the same way about it that I do.

Men try to demean us with it, I refuse to let someone else's words define me!!!!!!

This is the way to think.

Of course, women don't understand men very well if they think that it is just "demean"...

Men constantly drive each other down with words, it is one of the ways we interact as men.

Thats why most real men on this board laugh at darla when she calls us Pricks/dicks!
Me I just call her a 'Bimbo'...others call her the equivalent of prick/dick the big 'C'word...but then she rants and raves and begs damo to ban us from the board...:cof1: of course she also gets patronization from her minions, the limp wristed men on this board...!

Gotta run watch some tv...this is getting boring...night all!
