The $15 Minimum Wage Moves Social Security To Solvency

Elevating the min, wage creates a surge in demand. Demand is what fuels the economy and results in hiring and expansion. So it helps cut unemployment. It also takes away most of the need for welfare and food stamps. The government can provide less assistance.
The difference between the 8 bucks and the 15 that it should have grown into,is in the pockets of owners and the wealthy. That is why it has not been raised.

Class warfare the textbook technique of marxists. Teens employed part time make up the majority of mw workers. They aren't worth $25/ he and you've give no evidence that they are. This is classic leftist tale of woe. You tell people they are poor because the "rich" stole if from you.

$15/hr is not welfare. It is not giving anybody anything. It is a wage. It is price controls. Like any price control, it causes shortages. In this case, available jobs.

It is welfare as it is an artificial cost for labor. Businesses are required to pay everyone $15/ hour even when they don't deserve it. That's welfare.

No, it isn't. It's fascism, but it's not welfare. Instead of paying them $15/hr, they simply won't pay them at all. The employee will be laid off. Usually, if the need is still there, automation will take his place. Examples: McDonald's automated menus taking orders instead of hiring order takers. Automated car washes instead of hiring people to wash cars. Self checkout lanes instead of hiring more checkers. Amazon's no-checkout stores, where there are NO checkers! The computer reads the tags as you hike out the store and charges your Amazon account automatically. I've even seen vending machines that make fresh pizza (not bad either!).

The business is NOT forced to pay $15/hr for a worker. They simply don't ANYTHING for the worker. He doesn't work there anymore! This is what minimum wage laws do. They eliminate jobs.

Therefore, it is NOT welfare. It's fascism (government manipulation of markets).

Think about it.

All those low wage workers will be earning more. They will be getting bigger paychecks. Those checks will have withholding taken out of them. There will be more money going into Social Security. That will help move SS more towards solvency.

Seems like a solid tradeoff for wrecked local economies.

I agree. All I meant was it's welfare if you're paying money to someone who had earned it. Flipping burgers is not s $15/ hour job. Paying someone that much for that job is welfare. The leftist morons even say it that it will get people off welfare. All they are doing is shifting welfare payments from the govt to the business owner. But I agree with everything you said. MW kills jobs for young less educated people.

You want to deny it now? Fine. Deny it.

Then show me the post where I said "that $15/hr would replace welfare."

You always claim I said stuff I never said. When I ask you to show it to me you never can and just use the old "RQAA" stunt.

If I said it that should be easy to prove--just cite the post #.

Fascism is not welfare, but it is theft of wealth. Welfare is not conducted by the business owner, even if forced to pay people $15/hr. That employer's profit or loss determines whether it is viable to keep operating a business in that location. There's a reason restaurants (even McDonalds) are closing in those locations. The jobs there are gone. No one is getting paid anything.

If government takes (steals) money from someone and gives it to someone else, that's welfare. Examples include SS, Medicare and Medicaid, Covid payments, payments to foreign countries for their welfare systems, agricultural subsidies, wind and solar farm subsidies, etc.

Along the way, of course, the government collects a nice fat percentage of it to pay for all their bureaucrats and kickbacks.

Welfare is communism. Fascism isn't communism, but it's on the road to communism. Both are forms of socialism. Both are theft of wealth. A better way to look at the minimum wage law, forcing companies to pay more than market price, is as a form of slavery, not welfare. Slavery of the business owner.

As usual, I am not going to search through your fucking posts and show you where you said what. Anyone that wants to can go back and do that for themselves.
You want to deny it now. Fine. Deny it. As far as I'm concerned, you now feel that $15/hr does not replace welfare. Fine. With that I agree.

15 would make workers more responsible for their own lives. They would cut way back on government help and food stamps. It would increase the demand and create more jobs. It would end the soul-sucking jobs that eat at a person. It should be done as soon as possible.
