But my cousins husband commanding an Artillery Battalion in Desert Storm was filled with risk and danger. My fathers year in Vietnam was filled with danger. Did you serve in Desert Storm? Afghanistan? Vietnam?

While on that team, I participated in a score of crisis mediations between armed factions. fact. I was the senior US observer in Beirut for nearly a year. fact. It was tons of fun and a little scary every now and again. fact.

Service as a UN crisis mediator DOES however supersede driving to work in your boring car to your boring job in your boring city and getting paid shit for it.
