Guns....I like my guns....I love to shoot and hunt and I'm a damn good shot. But I'm not going to assume Zimmerman is completely innocent just because he was the guy with the gun.

GZ created an unnecessary situation, in a reckless & aggressive manner.

Unfortunately, that in & of itself is not a violation of the law. What happened as a result of the situation he created is tragic, but not unlawful, at least as the case was presented.

But by the same reasoning; didn't Trayvon creat an unnecessary situation, in a reckless & aggressive manner, by confronting Zimmerman and then assaulting him?

Unfortunately, confrontation is not a violation of the law; but assault is and that is what happened as a result of the tragic situation that Trayvon created and what Trayvon did was unlawful, at least as the Prosecution presented the case.

It's a bad comparison. TM's actions - whatever they were - were entirely reactive. GZ made the situation happen; it didn't have to get to that point.

I think GZ's actions were deplorable, and I did from the 1st moment I heard the 911 tape. But they weren't illegal, at least based on what was presented. I wouldn't have reacted the way that I think TM did, but I can understand it.

I do love this effort to paint Martin a choir boy. Did he deserve to die? No. But he ain't no choir boy.

Florida Law now protects George Zimmerman from CIVIL COURT CASES. His use of a firearm in defense of his own life is covered under FSC 776.032 Immunity from criminal prosecution and civil action for justifiable use of force.

The Martin Family cant sue George Zimmerman for wrongful death.

Dont like the law? Call your congressman... but it will still apply.

How can you people just come on here an lie? Trayvon created this situation? BY WALKING HOME? I don't even know why I'm bothering to reply, but this picture that the right wing media has managed to paint is amazing. Trayvon was a thug, Zimmerman is a saint, and armed white men have every right to stalk and kill black kids. Is that about the jist of it?
