EV's will never be the "ideal." They have been tried and tested against ICE vehicles for over a century and always come up lacking--badly lacking. If they worked, people would willingly adopt them and dump ICE vehicles. But that has never been the case, and its proving the case today.

I have discussed this with Terry many times as he would argue the personal computer is never going to be a thing, before IBM/Microsoft break thru as the earliest versions of the computer had been around over a 100 prior and there was no breakthru.

There is no one on this forum who understands technology and how it scales once it enters a mass production phase. Terry ALWAYS looks back to prior to that stage and says because it did not happen then, it cannot happen now.

That meant creating software to use on one was expensive and very limited to just one computer design.

The 8088 used off-the-shelf technology and an open-source code (MS DOS). That allowed the software explosion that resulted in the PC revolution.

And you do not think charging stations across the nation represent a paradigm shift for why someone might choose an EV compared to 50 years ago?

You do not think the battery life (~400 miles) and rapid charging (30 Minutes) as compared to where same was 50 years ago or more represents a paradigm shift.
