And the bad news is banning AR's will not really change that. It is because we are dealing with the wrong end of the Problem.

I do not have a problem with that. So, if the criminals have them, and the police need them to protect themselves, then why should I not have them also?

When a bunch of thick-headed assholes hide behind it and put some constitutional right that was established going on 300 years ago above public safety, all for their own selfish ignorant purposes, while steadfastly refusing to accept reality for what it is or adjust that constitutional right to fit today's world, then there is something wrong.

Let me ask, and yes I know you have heard this question before but I have not seen you answer, how are you and yours safer if you ban me from owning firearms? Is the problem the firearms or is it Us?

Just a bit of information, one can ban AR's and Such sales, one cannot ban people that bought them legally from owning them, the first is feasible the second is just a pipe dream. The Dems would never have enough votes for the second because even some of them would say no, there is now we'll see there. And that is that. So take what you can and I know the Dems will, but there are limits to anything. Reality is a double edged sword.

Well, since nobody, or at least not me, is suggesting or advocating such a thing, I can't really answer that.

I just think it should be a lot more difficult and more time consuming to obtain one legally, the penalties for possessing or transferring ownership illegally should be extremely tough and the gun industry should be forced to innovate and build into their product safety features that make it impossible to use by anyone but the registered owner.

Not more than 10 minutes ago President Biden went on air to talk about the shooting and there it was, a call to pass the new Background Check Law already passed in the House and to ban AR's and high capacity mags. So, If you want one I would suggest you get it now, that is if you can even find one at any price, they were already being over priced because of the shortage and this will drive the prices even higher, I assure you the gun stores will be very busy today and until they run out of everything. Same goes for Mags and Parts and Ammo which is already hard to get and expensive when you find it.

For those that already own them, you are probably safe, they will never be able to ban ownership if you already legally bought it but they can ban the new sales of them.

For those of that wanted them banned, this is your moment, enjoy it for while it lasts, because if the Conservatives ever get enough power in Washington the first thing will do is kill the ban, count on it.

There are limits to everything. That includes the 2nd Amendment.
