Agree .45 is a fight-stopper just like a 12 gauge.

Lots of home defense options out there which are superior to the .223-round AR Rambo-wannabe assault rifle.

Which circles us back to my original point. If AR and high capacity mags are not needed, and sometimes ill-suited to hunting, skeet shooting, recreational target shooting, personal home defense, zombie apocalypse -- then let's get right down to the reason a lot of people worship them....they are penis extenders for those who are compensating.

High capacity mags combined with high velocity ammo ballistics are designed for only one purpose: to kill, maim, and cause horrific wounds on the battlefield. They were designed for no other purpose.

You'd best find something you know something about. I own one of those "assault weapons (actually more than one) and it's chambered in .308, and another in .30-06.
I shot competitions (something you know NOTHING about) and also shoot them today for recreational target shooting, as do a number of my friends and acquaintances
at my gun club. Of course you have to make is sexual (like the pervert you are) because you are completely illiterate when it comes to firearms and their uses.

I never liked to hunt, but people who hunt non-endangered species, follow the regulations, make an effort at clean kills, and eat what they shoot aren't really doing anything wrong.
I preferred golf--hardly the most "progressive liberal" of sports-- but it's a big world out there with something to do for everybody.

My father was a woodsman and an exceptional hunter and tracker. He taught me well and I became successful. In fact, I often got a doe tag, and if I filled the buck tag, I didn't set out to get a doe because I already took one deer.
Golf? I can't golf. I can launch a golf ball, but have no clue where the ball is going to go. The only time I tried it, I gave all my friends a comedy show. We did have fun, but the others on the course might have a different opinion.
