The Coronavirus is exploding almost exclusively in red states

It is not very many of Medicare recipients who declare bankruptcy, but because of the outrageous cost of healthcare in the US, a senior can go bankrupt on the 20 percent uncovered. Medicare is keeping you healthy, but the costs is still dangerous financially. 20 percent of a serious illness can ruin you. Can you understand that 80 percent is covered? That is good, but not all-encompassing.
Medicare is trying to keep you healthy, partly to save healthcare costs. The rest of healthcare in the US is manned by doctors who get paid per procedure. They make more by keeping you coming back for more.

Almost all medical bankruptcies among Seniors are the result of stays in nursing home and LTC facilities. Stays in those facilities are covered by Medicare only for the first 100 days, then Medicaid takes over. Before they start paying, they will take every single dime you have.

Did this disease affect your brain???????????????

Getting your ass kicked in 2016 definitely affected yours. It caused you to believe in Russian collusion, that their were valid reasons for impeachment, and that all this nonsense going on now is anything but more politics designed to defeat Trump.

Hello Woko Haram,

The private insurance mandate of the ACA doesn't give me much hope regarding that. If something like a public option were to be passed, then maybe that would be a sign.

That's gonna be a helluva fight. It would take a united effort in Congress, but we're not going to have that. The insurance industry is so powerful it can destroy a one-party effort. And it wouldn't matter which party tried it. All it has to do is throw money at the other party. And we have to expect that the Republican Party is going to side with the insurance industry.

No way! That is awesome. How did you get fluent in Latin? Were you raised as a Crusader?
Yeah, Latin isn't that useful, but just knowing a language like that is so cool. You should learn to sing or rap so you can make music in Latin.

I've been to all of them. The alps of Austria and Switzerland are especially beautiful. I totes get why Krampus hangs out there.

The wonderful thing about learning Latin - and Greek - at school is that they give you a tremendous start on understanding English vocabulary. Other than the very close family words (which are actually 'Welsh', though far be it from the Master Race to admit it), the peasant-type words are German, but anything educated tends to be Latin, French (which is modern Latin) or Greek. Inflected languages are a pain in the backside - Chinese is much easier - but I'm glad they were inflicted on me in school.

Based on new cases per million, here are the states with more than 300 per million population:

Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

That's it folks. 12 states with new cases totaling more than 300 per million population. Exactly ONE of those states was won by Clinton in 2016 (Nevada, where she was actually behind in the last polls)

This spike in coronavirus cases corresponds geographically with a red state map. Of course. Because the governors of those states blew through CDC guidelines for re-opening in service of the moron in the Oval Office. Good luck in November, Death Cult.

So who gives a fuck? My neighbors across the street all contracted the virus and the whole thing lasted maybe a day and a half; temperatures rose with slight fevers accompanied with minor discomfort, and that was it. They're all back outside enjoying their Summer.

So what are you diaper dopers doing? Staying home trying to scare everyone into homebound paralysis, of course. What a bunch of fucking degenerates. lol

Yeah, English is a crazy language. It's still regarded as Germanic, I guess its grammar still is, but so many of the words and some of the grammar are Latin or French.
Though learning Chinese would still be much harder for someone who only knows English.

Dunno - they are both a bit free on the sort of grammar that makes Latin such a pain ('We doan have gwammar' said one of our instructor - but he found lots of opportunities to say, 'We jus doan say that'). The tones are the main problem for those like me who are not tone deaf but a bit tone-short-of-hearing! :)

The ACA was a foot in the door. Obama could not get universal care. He had to permit PHARM to continue looting because he could not withstand their lobbying power. He had enough powerful corporations to fight. The idea was to improve it as time went on. But we got Trump who is a pro-Corporate stooge.I doubt Trump has any interest in healthcare. To the wealthy, healthcare is couch change.
We have a million Americans engaged in medical tourism every year. They go abroad to get cheaper and as good a care as we have. As usual, the laws regulations are meaningless to the wealthy.

Makes you think....no? An explosion of new cases...........and a declining death rate. Meaning that Red States are developing immunity while blue state pussies who wear masks are weakening their own immune systems. Personally I can't wait until WINTER TIME just to see who survives the next wave........AFTER WEARING MASKS all summer depressing the bodies ability to develop anti-bodies against any NOVEL VIRUS.....or the people who went out and built up an immunity by refusing to wear a left wing costume while laughing at those who thought they were saving themselves but in reality were simply lining up to be slaughtered in the next wave of designer novel viruses.

Logic and Reason are often divorced from SHEEP. :bigthink:

Yeah.....LOGIC. The number infected by C19.........4 million............number infected by swine flu in 2009 with over 500,000 dead world wide......60 million infected in the US by itself in 2009. Just 56 Million to go. Strange is it not with almost an equal rate of death........no masks in 2009, not shut down of US workforce, no schools closed....with 56 million more sick than in 2020.

Again.....Truth speaks volumes while BULLSHIT propaganda is believed only by the gullible, even when the facts are just a few keystrokes away.
