The faux Edwards "hypocrisy" nonsense...

I agree raising taxes is a losing pitch, doesn't sound like you meant to say that.
What, a castro wing dem calling Jimma Carta a liability.

Umm kinda depends on whom you raise the taxes on now doesn't it ?
What percentage of the voting population would be paying more taxes if the cpa gains tax is put back to closer to prior levels ?

I guess the prior tax levels already caused all that miserable economic performance under Clinton didn't they ?

Edwards plan is not that much different from clinton's in 1992. Give the middle class more tax credits and tax cuts, and return the tax rates on the wealthy to where they were in the prosperous 1990s.

As I recall, Clinton won on that platform.

Yep and I do recall topper bragging on the good economic clinton years....
Topper you are chasing your tail on this.

It's weird what has happened with Edwards this year, which goes back to the topic of this thread. O'Reilly & Fox really seemed to start things, and it's been very effective at creating an impression of the guy as a near-constant hypocrite (again, for things like being rich & talking about poverty), so that even smaller comments that he makes now are scrutinized beyond reason. It reminds me so much of the "Gore as exaggerator" campaign from 2000.

Here's hoping he can rise above it. There is no question in my mind that this guy would do much better than Hillary in a general election, and would be almost unstoppable with the Dem party finally united behind him. He'll just be a better President, too...

exactly USmoron, I'm for a good vibrant economy and can recognized it whether it's dem or repub produced. Unlike yourself being of limited real world experience in the economic realm.
I've said a dozen times 9 more years of Clintonomics under Hillary. If Edwards can give us that I will sing his praises. I don't think he'll get the chance.:clink:

You know what I was just thinking last night?

How on earth does the GOP beat an John Edwards/Mark Warner (D-Virginia) ticket?

By killing him in the primary ?

Thus, the kid gloves routine on Hillary by networks like Fox & the relentless hammering of candidates that are stronger, like Edwards.

Just wait; when Hillary gets the nod, she's gonna get absolutely ripped. Republicans are salivating about a Hillary candidacy...

Lorax, you just showed us why you don't invest or know shit about the economy.
The housing downturn statred in August, that's the most ignorant thing you've ever said. It's been a couple years going moron and yes we still go 4% out of GDP and well get 2% plus in the third quarter.
You don't live in a small house casue your green, it's cause your stupid.:clink:

I think this rhetoric comes more from her D opponents than it does from the R Party. Running against HillBilly will be very hard. If she can convince people that she is going to be the same as Bill it will likely be impossible to overcome considering the current popularity of the President.

that's funny shit lorax, Hillary has more than 3x the support of Edwards with dems. She is and will kick the shit out of that poser, and Rudy:clink:

Way to put words in my mouth. You have reading comprehension difficulties, tops.

Probably why you missed the point of the article you posted the other day.

Class dismissed, junior colleger...

Yep - that's why she'll probably win the nomination. Edwards does much better with independents, and does much better in head-to-head matchups with GOP candidates.

You can't avoid that. Sorry....

Look, Hillary girl, you can't brag about polls showing Hillary way ahead of Edwards for the primary, and then ignore those that show Edwards doing much better against GOP candidates in a national.

That's called cherrypicking...

I so can, just because your wrong you get pissy gay as usual.
All recent polls have Hillary kicking Rudy and Romney's ass good.
If she picks a tough guy like Warner she will be unbeatable.
