The topic was the IRS is going after the wealthy folks like Romney and some posters here are complaining Obama is trying to harm his political opponents. How does that harm Romney? If Romney can say he was audited and all is OK wouldn't that boost his chances of being elected? It can't hurt.

No proof at all. The IRS is checking if everything is OK.

Banks are audited. Businesses are audited. In fact most people do what would be considered an audit when they do their monthly budget or pay a CC bill. Don't you check the items on your CC bill to ensure you're only charged for items you purchased?

That's all an audit is. It's checking financial records. It's not a crime to be audited. The IRS does not "come after them". An audit is not an arrest.

But you said they owe a bill to society; so how can you say they owe a bill, if there is nothig that says they owe anytihng more then they've already paid?
