My wife's grandfather got a "degree" in Manufacturing Engineering through an apprenticeship with the Ford Motor Company. My mother-in-law kept some of his study notes and showed me. It was basically an "engineering technology" program, which is not at all the same as a calculus-based ABET accredited Engineering core curriculum.
