In LA county alone it was reported that it was at 276 Million per year. One county. Yes, one of the most populated, but still one county alone.Their children get the advantage of our education system. Some states provide some healthcare to their children but the cost ain't what the doom and gloomers make it out to be. We benefit by the presence of illegal aliens in this county. It is a net gain.
It isn't as easy to dismiss as you think.
And as I stated, do you not think some may take advantage of the fact that a child in the womb when they cross will be eligible to receive welfare immediately after it is born?
While recipients of welfare are not my main objection to the porous border, in fact having them over here isn't even an objection, it is certainly something that shouldn't be dismissed with just a wave of the "They aren't eligible for!" wand. It isn't that easy to dismiss, nor is ignoring the fact that many do collect forms of even federal welfare because of their children born here being immediately eligible.
BTW - My largest objection to the porous border has nothing to do with the people, it has to do with the fact that we do not know who is here, and in many places do nothing to ever find out including not allowing cops to even ask their status...
It hacks me off when I see another story about a murderer that was in custody twice that was never turned over to the Mexican Government for prosecution because of the idiotic laws that force our cops to work with no ability to even seek the identity of those who are here illegally. Open it up to legal immigration so we can at least know who is here and have a valid way to contact their government to return those who are wanted for prosecution.
