The Official So Anyway Thread

So anyway, I thought I'd start up a thread that encompasses ANYTHING you may have on your mind. Jokes, celebrity gossip, stories about horses OR cows, recipes you may like to share, or your general musings about life, death, and in between. And of course PLEASE share any exciting news you may have about pretzels, especially new ones on the market. So anyway..........

So anyway, at this late stage of my life the only things that still get my motor running are food(making and eating), drinking, learning and fun...particularly of the erotic flavor.... particularly including high level power games.

And do you enjoy any exotic pretzel brands? An inquiring and SOMEWHAT insane mind (Me!) would like to know.;)

I enjoy women in a pretzel shape (we are/were? swingers)...but pretzel carbs almost never reach the threshold for this diabetic... I almost always have better options.

Ah, YOU'RE diabetic as well. I was recently diagnosed as being diabetic this past March, early in the month. I've had to adjust my dietary habits, of course, and I AM getting used to it. The biggest change for me is having to pretty much avoid any alcohol. I've been an avid beer drinker for 40 years. Now I limit myself to just a couple beers a week. But I'm OK with that. It's either keep drinking beer like I used to, although I wasn't a heavy beer drinker by any means, and most likely DIE, or limit my beer drinking to just a couple beers a week, and LIVE. So of course it was an easy decision for me to make.

My Brother!

Where did you get that information about drinking? I have been a heavy drinker since 19 which my doctors know, they have never said anything about it. In fact my worse AIC was when I almost stopped drinking for two months...it fucked me up I think.

So anyway, why is it that so MANY liberal lunatics that post on this site are SO darn stupid? Their constant inane, insane and moronic posts are quite baffling.

I thought it was common knowledge that you should avoid alcohol as a diabetic because alcohol is converted into sugars when it hits your bloodstream. Which puts more stress on your pancreas in its effort to produce more insulin. I've read this on the internet, and have heard it from my doctor, as well.

I was wondering...

Which is worse? Exposure to lead and heavy metals, exposure to asbestos, exposure to industrial chemicals, or exposure to people who might have COVID 19....?

Those things by Nabisco are not pretzels!

Pretzels are a special tasty bread rolled and folded into a pretzel and baked until they are toasted to a golden shiny brown on the outside, but still tender and yummy on the inside- and served with lots of melted garlic butter or olive oil to drown them in!

What's your favorite brand of pretzels? Mine is probably Snyder's, although my sister has been buying us this fairly new brand (to us) called UNIQUE Pretzels. They make extra dark and extra salty pretzels that taste incredible. I'd have to say they're definitely on a par with Snyder's.

Indeed;) Or excellent homemade honey mustard or cheese dip;)

To tell you the truth, my favs are the Home made ones!

All you need is a nice commercial tabletop pizza oven to cook them in. No they don't sell these at Wallmart! You can get them at any restaurant supply house and cheap! But, if you don't have one of those a convection oven will work fine!

It's the same bread that you make bagels or biscuits out of, but the trick is to shape them and drop them in boiling water first before baking. On contact with the hot water, the starches on the surface of the dough gelatinize, forming a protective crust.

Homemade always the best.....worth the time and (not that) much effort;)

OK, now I gotta' go make some!

How can I forget the honey mustard!

Which BTW, My mom used to take a can of Spam, [OF COURSE SHE TOOK IT OUT OF THE CAN first LOL) and put the knife marks across the top like it was a ham, put the usual cloves in it, slathered honey mustard all over it, and baked it. Turned out G-R-E-A-T!
