I wanted to start a new thread on this, because the old thread seems to be getting lost in minutia of semantics and confusion of the issue. For this thread, there can be no argument based on the theory of evolution, because evolution deals with living organisms and how they possibly evolve or change with time. The debate here is origin of life. In order to form a coherent argument for any theory of origin, you must articulate something pertaining to origination of life, and not the evolution of the already living.
It is important to note, anything posted here regarding origin of life, is speculation, because it is impossible to recreate the condition of no life, to test any theory. We aren't interested in "proving" one theory true or another theory false, as this is never the fundamental purpose of science. We are merely interested in examining the possibilities. In this examination, we can't conclude or proclaim anything definitively impossible, because again, we can't validate any theory regarding origin. It is impossible to prove how life originated, the best we can do is make an educated guess on how it may have occurred.
Accepting the obvious
We must, for the sake of this argument, establish obvious physical facts of reality. Organic matter exists, life exists in abundant forms and types on this planet. Science and physics of the universe are not bound to only what we presently understand regarding science and physics on earth. This planet, like all the others in our universe, is the product of some undefined event, yet a unique set of circumstances surround the creation of our environment. We have an atmosphere of mostly nitrogen, along with oxygen and hydrogen, and other trace gases. Carbon is the most abundant resource in our known universe.
Given those truisms, what is your "theory" regarding how life originated?
