The President of Iran is a Moron

MoveOn paid the difference ($77k) today anyway, so that particular issue is subsiding. NYT's editor also stated the the paper had violated its own advertising policies by giving away the fixed rate and assuring the day it would run.

Yeah, well someone ought to tell Rep Tom Davis (R-Virgnina). He's demanding a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee investigation into the matter. This is the same guy that thinks he deserves a promotion to Senator.

For fuck's sake, this is the best of the modern GOP. What a joke.

Rabble rousing issues.

Rabble rousing issues are all that Republicans will touch lately.
They know bush will veto all the issues the people want.

The only remaining question is whether Duncan Hunter is an even bigger dumbass for threatening to introduce legislation cutting off all federal funds from Columbia University for hosting an Ahmadinejad speech wherein the president of the university introduced him as "a petty and cruel dictator."

The Columbia speech is where Ahmadinejad made the claim that Iran has no homosexuals, not the UN.

Yeah, Hunter's dumber. I'd rather have Ahmadinejad as president than Duncan the midget. At least Ahmadinejad doesn't have a base of robots working in America to actually get what he wants done.

That was absolutely beautiful.

He spanked America on the world stage and made Bolinger look like a complete idiot. He defined who the terrorists are.

Beautiful

They tried to trap him on the question of the Holocaust and he made them look like fools.

Beautiful

I Bush could probably beat Bolinger in a debate, Black. He's not a terribly difficult opponent.

Anyway, as we all know, there are no fags in Iran, Israel won't exist in three years, and the holocaust didn't happen. Let's get back to real life now, buddies.

Black, do you love anyone who says bad things about Bush?

You know, I could pull up some Ron Paul quotes critiscizing Bush...

To me, the enemy of my enemy isn't necessarily my friend.

Have you noticed, though, that everyone -- or nearly everyone -- criticizing Ahmedinejad has focused on the same three statements? You'd think from the public "debate" that he only uttered three sentences, and one of them was that Bush-esque gaff about there being no homosexuals in Iran.

He didn't utter much. He didn't answer any of the questions, it was like watching the Presidential Debates in 1996. Nothing was ever said.

I gave Bolinger way too much credit only to discover he's an idiot.

We can all rest assured that Bush will never debate the Iranian President who would embarrass him.

I like hearing the truth about Bush no matter who it comes from .. however, yesterday was all about the truth about America, not Bush.

Americans do not like the mirror.

Americans do not like the mirror.

I am not fond of seeing what America has become in the past 6 years or so either....

He said a hell of a lot and articulated his arguments with reason.

The problem is that Americans don't want to hear it .. but I bet it played well on the world stage.

Yeah like his "We have no homosexuals in Iran." comment.

That was sheer, undisputed brilliance.

What a great guy.

Fair enough. To me, though, that only makes the public scramble to pile on the "Ahmedinejad is a maniac" float seem really petty and foolish. Let the man's silly pronouncements speak for themselves: there's no need to manipulate it to look as bad as possible.

To some extent, of course, that's just what the press and politicians do these days.
