When you didn't cheat on that test in high school, it's not because you were thinking about creating a stable society.

When you didn't steal from your neighbor, it's not because you were thinking about wanting to make a contribution to a peaceful civilization.

You didn't do it because your inner conscience told you it was objectivity wrong, even though your Id and Darwinian evolution have programmed you to do whatever you must to maintain and propagate your genetic code.

You literally Googled and posted a scientific paper which stated in it's conclusions that the emergence of consciousness remains a "challenging topic" about which we need more 'clarification'.

That's been my position since day one.

You obviously just barely skimmed the abstract before posting the paper.

Just don't Google scientific papers and insist other posters read them, when you haven't read it yourself.

JPP isn't the National Academy of Science here. :laugh: It's one thing to post pithy and intelligible articles written by science journalists. But Googling for academic journal science papers and then posting them here without reading even them obviously is a blatant waste of everyone's time
