“The problem with Trump is that he doesn’t read”

What should worry people is here we have Trump as President of the USA and he doesn't even know what is going on around him or what is going on in the world.
This was in the news this morning , it is an opinion post but it does have a lot of good points, maybe Trump should read it.
As I said it is only an opinion post and some people here won't like it but I thought it was a good post.

Agreed that it makes a lot of good points.

Two big ones for me:
Elon Musk had to exit Trump world not because he couldn’t continue as a special government employee (there are a hundred ways around this), but because most Americans have become infuriated with Musk’s attacks on things they value, like veterans benefits and Social Security. Musk had become a huge political liability...

...And Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” — which, if enacted, would be the largest redistribution of income in American history, from the poor and working class to the rich and ruling class — is bogged down in the Senate.

Republican senators are finding it impossible to accomplish three things simultaneously: protect Medicaid, deliver a huge tax cut mainly to the rich, and prevent the budget deficit and national debt from exploding. Two of the three are possible, but not all three. (Even Musk understands this.)

Trump doesn't seem concerned about the Midterm results as long as he passes his tax cuts for the rich. Something he can't make stick as an EO.

This is not difficult and i am not joking here.

If they have info Trump needs to hear, film it like a Fox and Friends tv segment and let him watch it that way.

Done.

Not the first time Donnie has been accused of not being a "reader". LOL

President Donald Trump’s intelligence chief is exploring ways to revamp his routine intelligence briefing in order to build his trust in the material and make it more aligned with how he likes to consume information, according to five people with direct knowledge of the discussions.

As part of that effort, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard has solicited ideas from current and former intelligence officials about steps she could take to tailor the briefing, known as the President’s Daily Brief, or PDB, to Trump’s policy interests and habits.

One idea that’s been discussed is possibly creating a video version of the PDB that’s made to look and feel like a Fox News broadcast, four of the people with direct knowledge of the discussions said....

...A new PDB could include not only graphics and pictures but also maps with animated representations of exploding bombs, similar to a video game, another one of the people with knowledge of the discussions said.

“The problem with Trump is that he doesn’t read,” said another person with direct knowledge of the PDB discussions. “He’s on broadcast all the time.”
Trump doesn't know how to tie a shoe -- if he could even get to his feet beneath his enormous, fat gut. He certainly can't read. He also can't listen to anyone except himself talk for longer than 2 or 3 minutes. The man has the mental capacity of a toddler.

On this story about Trump and reading I was once told by a very old very well connected NYC guy that Trump did read a lot as a kid....his mother insisted.
A guy once told you that Trump used to read 60 years. You are so demented, it's unbelievable.

Kudos to Tulsi Gabbard for trying to find a way to engage Trump in the President's Daily Brief. I don't think it comes as much of a surprise to anyone who's been following Trump that he's not exactly a big reader.

A point upon which I readily agree. Especially among many world leaders. If you've ever milked a goat or cow then you know it takes a little finesse to get the job done. Cows are generally dumber and more docile if gently handled.

Trump is like a cow being milked with flattery gently coaxing him to give up what is desired. It helps that he's dumb and docile when handled correctly. Showing him pictures and giving intelligence briefings in the form of short cartoon movies is an obvious way to manipulate him.

It's impossible to put 10 pounds of intel into a 1 pound bag. In order to reduce it to 1 pound, decisions have to be made. Such major decisions are routinely made via the WH staff and department heads. No doubt the influence of money players is introduced somehow. Lots of factors to consider.

And with this statement you might be giving Trump too much credit " The man has the mental capacity of a toddler. "
I think many toddlers have more mental capacity then Trump has.

And, it appears, he has the attention span of a cat. Waving a ball of catnip in front of him in the form of money or flattery, he'll follow wherever someone leads him. Most likely it'll be major players in Project 2025 calling the shots.

Show us where the direct cost of Trump's parade is $45 million. Break that number down some into what went into it.
Terry, see, this is why I know you aren't the same man who rose to chief in the Navy. It's up to Trump and those who are part of the parade to provide the costs be it housing and feeding 6,000 troops to how much damage the tanks will do to the streets. What are they hiding?

Are you really so gullible now you'll believe whatever number is crapped out of the WH without double-checking with all the participants?

An M1 Abrams weighs over 54 tons. By comparison, a medium crawler dozer weighs up to 27 tons distributed over about the same footprint.

That’s not true, there have been plenty of pictures of him in the back of a limo reading Murdoch’s New York Post

Photo op? No doubt Trump gets his info from sources like the NY Post, but he probably has a staffer read it to him....or read the article and give him a synopsis.
