I am not here to listen to you talking about me.

If you want to talk politics, that is one thing. I will be happy to exchange ideas on politics. But it will be on an academic level. The merit of your argument compared to the merit of mine.

I simply refuse to get into a personal thing, trying to make it about each other. That's really just shallow and boring. I know it's ever so popular around here, and if you have to have it that way, go for it without me. I have no desire to participate or try to keep up with the food fights. I filter all of that out. But if you can talk politics for the knowledge of politics, that's the people I like to talk to.

I draw your attention to my:

Outstanding! Consider that something straight. However, we need to get something else straight as well. You have to own what you express, and if you express something really stupid, I will point it out and you will like it. If you make an error and I point out that you are operating under a misconception, you can't get all snowflake offended, even it involves you being totally unaware of Trump's accomplishments.

As to the academic merits of arguments, here is a list of common fallacies so you can peruse in advance and not make them.

Fair enough. No complaints here. Just keep in mind that I know everything and people don't like discussing with me because no one likes a know-it-all. But having said that, what shall we discuss?

I would think if you're only going to get one chance to tell me off you could have come up with something more spectacular, but so be it.

My PIP is unconditional. It is either agreed without conditions, because it makes sense on a two-way basis, or there can be no respectful communication. And that is the case here.

Now I see that your offer was not genuine. Now I see that you were just planning on making infantile comments while seeking to control my speech. I just went through this twice on other boards. You were engaging in Mantra 6 on the list I gave you.

The answer is "No" ... you don't get to reserve the term "civilized discourse" only for exchanges in which you determine what I am to say. You were obviously going to wait for me to disagree with you and then declare that you were "offended". No thanks.

I'm guessing that you don't know anything of interest anyway. Let me know if anything changes, like when you feel a strange surge of intellectul fortitude.
