The right's assault against human decency continues - public thread

Jackson signed and implemented the Indian Removal program, not Jefferson.

Jefferson never made any such comment in any inaugural address. This stuff is recorded in written form, you know.

Jefferson wanted the Indians out after the Louisiana purchase.

Whether he officially addressed it or not is irrelevant. He spoke about this often in his writings, I will try to find them for you.

Either way, historians largely agree that it started under Jefferson. The actual implementation happened under Jackson.

The lesser of two weevils, eh? An interesting point. Just how dangerous would Kamala be as 'president'?

Not at all, she's too stupid.

She would spend all her time flying around wanting to look important.

And she is so unpopular she would never win again.

Harris is a rubber stamp sort of girl, she would rely on her staff to tell her what to do and she would just agree with them.

The Wanderer is still trying to flap the remains of his dying (and probably almost dead by now) thread. The cost of censorship is coming home to him and he still denies that cost.

You didn't make any.

No surprise you think you did, though.
This is a response to Tinkerpeach, trying to claim that she isn't making any points. A clear argument of the Stone fallacy.
There is a not only a mountain of evidence against Trump, there's an entire mountain RANGE of evidence against him.
He never seems to be able to declare what this 'evidence' is or even what the crime is. I will assume he's just chanting buzzwords mindlessly now.
I don't make predictions because I know that the most unlikeley things have a habit of happening.
A blatant lie and a paradox. The Wanderer is not clearly irrational.
But barring some sort of highly unlikely anomaly, Trump is going to find himself the first convicted felon ex-president in history.
This very prediction (that he claims he never makes) is the other side of the paradox he is making. He thinks he can actually argue both sides of a paradox.
Then your little right-wing lie machine will have to kick into high gear and work overtine for a long, long time.
Another prediction, and a void argument fallacy. He can't name any lie nor any crime nor any of this so-called 'evidence'.

Right in his post The Wander is lying. He is contradicting himself and continuing to chant his void arguments.

I suggest you read Jeffersons' speeches again. In them he talks about working WITH the indians, NOT kicking them out of anywhere.
You don't get to speak for all historians. Omniscience fallacy. Void reference fallacy.

At least you agree that the Trail of Tears and the Indian Removal program (including putting them on reservations), happened under Jackson now.

Biden isn't much different. Biden has openly admitted that someone else is telling him what to do and say.

That someone else is Obama.

Andrew Jackson is often credited with initiating Indian Removal, because Congress passed the Indian Removal Act in 1831, during his presidency, and also because of his personal involvement in the forceful removal of many Eastern Indian tribes. Congress was implementing suggestions laid out by Jefferson in a series of private letters that began in 1804, although Jefferson did not implement the plan during his own presidency.

You will find that you cannot use Wikipedia as an authoritative reference with me. It's articles are too often badly written, incomplete, or just plain wrong.
Again, I suggest you read Jefferson's speeches again. He does NOT say you think he said.

I will use whatever I want with you.

If you don't like it that is your problem.
