The So Called Deadly Climate Obsession of Governments, written by an idiot

The climate scientists said some 40+ years ago that banning CFC's would seal the hole in the ozone layer at the S. Pole in 30 years. It's still there, still the same size, and now they've found an even larger one over the S. Atlantic.

https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddar...-hole-13th-largest-will-persist-into-november

Other climate scientists are now saying it'll take another 50 years (they'll be retired or dead by that time so they won't have to take a hit for being wrong).

https://www.euronews.com/green/2022...ant-milestone-as-harmful-chemicals-drop-by-50

So, if CFC's were the cause, wouldn't the hole they predicted would be gone be gone and they wouldn't be finding a new even bigger one?

These guys are clueless. Their "science" is so sloppy and porous it isn't worth paying attention to them.

The Church of the Ozone Hole routinely denies the Chapman cycle and chemistry.

Actually the Montreal Protocols are generally considered a success.
...at what?????!?
Even NASA (whom you quote) also thinks that:
NASA is not a proof nor science. It is a government agency.
Fun factoid: eons ago I was working as an oceanographic chem tech and one group at the facility I worked at used CFC's dissolved in sea water as a chemical tracer to track water movement in the ocean.
Lousy tracer, since CFCs in water just vent into the air.
After the early 1990's they started to see significant decreases in the level of various CFC's that were used as tracers and it was getting to be difficult to use them as tracers because of the MOntreal Protocol.
Nah. They just vent into the air. It's a lousy tracer.

it's putting farmers out of business in the netherlands.

you ever watch the news?

farmers grow food. People eat food so they don't die.

less food = more die.

green policies are killing people.

and they blew up the fuel source.

usa just fucked europe over, to guarantee a war.

The clear example of that is they claimed eliminating CFC's would fix the problem. It didn't. In fact, they found more problems. Now they've changed their tune and are claiming the replacement for CFC's, HCFC's or HFC's are a "greenhouse gas," something they initially didn't claim, and need to be eliminated for that reason. This is after decades of the same idiots claiming CO2 is the problem and needs to be eliminated.

The climate change alarmists and such keep changing their story while accomplishing nothing. How many times will we listen to them cry "wolf?"

cfc's and such ARE real pollution.

cleaning them up was a good.

the co2 thing is a farce though.

Governments everywhere have been undermining productive work, driven by a destructive climate change ideology that has developed into an obsession: stopping greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, despite human suffering.

Look at this. This is what the idiot actually says.

On Labor Day (and every day) we ought to celebrate productive work and those who perform it because productive work makes our life possible and gives it meaning. However, governments everywhere have been undermining productive work, driven by a destructive climate change ideology that has developed into an obsession: stopping greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, despite human suffering.

The productive work is not being undermining. What we want is human beings being safe from destructive effects they have been causing to the environment and their health.

Oh great. Now you've done it. You've given Tommy yet another "alternative facts" site to quote from, as he desperately tries to convince the world that there's nothing to see here, folks, no global warming, just fake news. lol

The problem is that the same bunch now want to ban the replacements and that's going to drive the cost of air conditioners and heat pumps way up, along with likely making them less efficient (eg., consume more energy) because the replacement refrigerant, whatever it is, will be less efficient.

He's right. What part does a low IQ dipshit like you not comprehend? :palm:

What specific replacements are they trying to ban? Do you have a citation?

Actually the other poster (IntoTheNight) is NOT right about most of the thermodynamics he posts. It is sad to see someone who thinks they can bluff their way through thermo when a lot of us suffered long and hard to learn the topic.

Sure IntotheNight often DOES try to type out the various thermodynamic laws but he clearly doesn't know any of them in detail. Take his insistence that Entropy can never decrease. This is wrong. Locally there are many things which represent a decrease in entropy. They key that IntotheNight fails to appreciate is that the Second Law of thermo deals only with ISOLATED systems (another concept IntoTheNight says doesn't exist) and it applies to the universe. But clearly there are a number of spontaneous reactions in which the Delta S (entropy term) is positive. IntoThenight doesn't seem to realize this.

So, if I were you, I wouldn't go with what @IntoTheNight has to say on anything in the sciences.

They are not going to "shift to electric vehicles". It's a gradual process. It's like with any technology advance. It gradually changes. It's going to take years and years.

Only uneducated dipshits or power-hungry elitists actually believe that you can destroy oil, gas, hydroelectric energy, and destroy nuclear energy and demand everyone convert to ELECTRICITY without massive shortages and power outages. California can barely keep the lights on right now.

Meanwhile, countries like China, Russia and India spew millions of tons of carbon into the air.

Do you know how much energy it even takes to make a battery? Do you know that batteries are highly toxic? Do you know the materials to make batteries come from polluting nations like China?

What is clear is that climate alarmists and liars know nothing about the catastrophic reality of an all-electric society and how it cannot possibly support a modern and growing economy.

But reality doesn't matter, it's all about what makes them feel good. :palm:
