The time to TAX THE POOR has come...

The poor get income with the low income tax credit and welfare. They pay little to no federal and state income taxes.

The poor must pay their fair share.

It would be unfair not to do so.

Fair share applies to everyone.

Eat the poor ? {tplly no, they would be rather chewy or all lard.

Besides, what about that "equal protection under the law" thing ? Haw is "progressive" taxation constitutional ?

The poor are often amazingly generous. When I volunteered giving financial advice to the poor, we had a retired man who made sandwiches for the homeless. He spent about half his limited income on the venture. He had a problem that wealthy stockbrokers would take offered sandwiches for free, because he offered them to the "needy". They took pride in stealing someone else's lunch.

I handed it off to a law firm, who could do nothing with the case. They handed it off to a newspaper, who came around taking photos of the stockbrokers. The story never ran, over threats of suing, but the threat was enough to get them to back off.

There are a lot of major corporations with billions in profits paying nothing... That does not seem fair to me.
 
If the poor are giving away the taxpayers’ money that was given to them, perhaps they shouldn’t be given taxpayers’ money.

Everyone should pay their fair share...it’s only fair...no free rides.

They provide jobs for millions of workers. The workers pay taxes.

DEMAND provides for the jobs...the rich people merely HIRE those to fill the demand the economy generates.

You want the poor to pay their fair share? RAISE THEIR WAGES, THEN, AND THEY WILL.
 
Workers are paid according to their worth to the employer.

If you want higher wages, become more worthy.
