Rarely is it not enforced.

Microsoft ran roughshod over markets.
Nope. Microsoft competed well against its rivals and forced all others to up their game.

Microsoft represents fascism.
Impossible. You must not know what fascism is. Oh wait, we've been over this as well.

they were allowed to do so in return for government backdoors.
Microsoft earned government preference by requiring minimal to no training to use the Office suite of products. That government concern alone overrides the value of competitors' products that are free.

it is mostly not enfored.

earned government preference?

that's not in the free market literature.

that's fascism, son.

Incorrect.

earned government preference?
Yes. The government is a customer just like everyone else. You have your own concerns and your own preferences. The government has a huge training concern/consideration and Microsoft has routinely kept government programs on track by requiring essentially zero training. "No training required" is a huge government preference.

If you ever wish to win a government contract, find a way to work in "no training required" as one of your offerings. You'll be a lock.

That's not fascism, son. That's giving the customer what he wants. That's competing for business. That's winning in the free market.

the government has an oversight authority and a duty to enforce our desired economic system.

you sucking microsoft dick is unrelated to that.

Up until Russia's war with Ukraine, I didn't pay much attention to Russia at all, other than note that Edward Snowden took refuge there from the nefarious side of the United States government. Do you buy into the balderdash that he was a traitor?
Of course not, tovarish. You only came across it when you saw all of the complaints about poor lil' Vlad being badmouthed in the press.

I had little interest in Putin when it all started. What I wanted to know was, why did Russia attack Ukraine. After some reading, I think I have a pretty good answer. Clearly, Ukraine's bid to join NATO was part of it, but the exactly timing coincided precisely with Ukraine's renewed assault on the Donbass Republics. There is an article that I prize above all others in giving a pretty good idea as to Putin's difficult choice in the days leading up to the war, one by former Swiss Intelligence Officer, Jacques Baud. Quoting:

In fact, as early as February 16 [2022], Joe Biden knows that the Ukrainians began to shell the civilian populations of Donbass, putting Vladimir Putin in front of a difficult choice: to help Donbass militarily and create an international problem or to sit idle and watch Russian speakers from the Donbass being run over.

If he decides to intervene, Vladimir Putin can invoke the international obligation of “ Responsibility To Protect ” (R2P). But he knows that whatever its nature or scale, the intervention will trigger a shower of sanctions. Therefore, whether its intervention is limited to the Donbass or whether it goes further to put pressure on the West for the status of Ukraine, the price to be paid will be the same. This is what he explains in his speech on February 21.

That day, he acceded to the request of the Duma and recognized the independence of the two Republics of Donbass and, in the process, he signed treaties of friendship and assistance with them.

The Ukrainian artillery bombardments on the populations of Donbass continued and, on February 23, the two Republics requested military aid from Russia. On the 24th, Vladimir Putin invokes Article 51 of the United Nations Charter which provides for mutual military assistance within the framework of a defensive alliance.

In order to make the Russian intervention totally illegal in the eyes of the public we deliberately obscure the fact that the war actually started on February 16th. The Ukrainian army was preparing to attack the Donbass as early as 2021, as certain Russian and European intelligence services were well aware… The lawyers will judge.

lol.

Truth.

Russia lovers tell us Putin is playing "3D chess" while the rest of the world is playing "connect four"... Then tell us that it was the "West's plan" to "lure" this genius man who is playing "3D Chess" into Ukraine by tricking them into making the aggressive incursion... because those "sneaky western bastiges" are just so tricky that their trickiness is actual aggression. Unlike actually attacking another county with armies, that isn't aggression, that is innocence caught up in a "sneaky western trap" where innocent Russia, who has never invaded anyone at all ever, not even Crimea... just has been sooo tricked...

Those sneaky bastiges, the West... By sneakily not attacking anyone, or forming any aggression on any nation... sneakily they trick those innocent Russians, particularly the Genius Putin who is playing Chess... while they play Connect Four... but somehow they put him in checkmate and he was forced to send armies to invade Ukraine, because they be sneaky... Saying, "Don't, it would be bad." like that... Did they even give him a choice? Of course not, sneaky reverse psychology and Connect Four chess... bastiges.

I've heard a bit of this "3d chess" thing, I haven't said this myself though. I've also never argued that Russia was "tricked" into attacking Ukraine. I believe Russia had grown tired of the false diplomacy from Ukraine and its western allies, where they said they'd play nice with the Donbass Republics, only to go back on their word as soon as soon as they were sufficiently re-armed. From what I've read, the last straw for Russia was when the western Ukrainian army started a massive assault on the Donbass republics on February 16, 2022. It looks like Russia's parliament saw the writing on the wall and asked Putin to recognize the Donbass Republics the day before, on February 15th, but Putin refused at that time. 5 days after Ukraine began its assault, Putin changed his mind, on February 21st, 2022. I suspect that he had hoped that Ukraine would finally understand that Russia wasn't going to tolerate much more of this assault, but regardless, after 2 more days of Ukraine pumelling the Donbass Republics, the Donbass Republics requested military aid from Russia and on February 24th, Russia delivered. Former Swiss Intellingence Officer Jacques Baud gets into the details as well as graphics from the OCSE in an article he wrote shortly after Russia's military operation in Ukraine began. It can be seen here:

Fuck Putin and all of his supporters.

The best thing that can happen to the Russian people is for Vladimir Putin to fall out of a ten-story window.
