What is it with this board lately? The strong, intelligent, opinionated women (who happen to be all liberal
) are getting called fat@sses, b*tches, sluts, and c*nts. Seriusly, Get a new gig, topper. Desh is a cool lady. If you don't like her opinions, get some new insults.

I think it depends on the numbers. On the other site "liberals" are outnumbered and often wind up doing exactly that. On this one, it seems to be the opposite.

Generally the minority thinkers in a group of people are going to be more defensive and prone to insults. Even if they believe their arguments to be valid in their own minds, it doesn't take too much for a person to lose his cool if the perception (or reality) is that he is outnumbered.
Of course, who threw the first insult on this thread, Desh or Top? Let's go to the videotape and find out!

Well, on the plus side, after 2 years of writing the word, Topper has finally correctly spelled "spinster".
My money says it was a fluke...let's wait and find out.

Really? On my old site, for a long time it was a pretty equal split, this was a big site, and I never saw that kind of stuff coming from liberal men. I remember once a very widely despised (by the men) conservative poster named Sarge, posted that his gf was 5'1 and weighed 250 pounds. We were discussing hiring discrimination. And I cringed, because I knew what would happen of say Cypress posted that his wife had that build, I mean this one guy, Tarz alone, would have just ripped up the place with that. Not one word, ever, was thrown in his face on that. It was never spoken of again. And he was hated. So, honestly, you might not believe it, but that has been my experience. Of course, we had liberal guys there like Cypress, Ornot, Prakosh and this guy Scottboxter. Pretty enlightened men, and I'll stipulate they could be exceptions, even among liberal men.
That all said, if I ever see a liberal poster call Said any of those things, here, they will hear about it from me, as I think you know, since everyone pretty much hears about everything from me.

I think its generally you who throws the first insult at Desh. And "spinster"? Do you have any insults that aren't intended to be harsh, gender-related put downs?
And trust me, I'm not Desh's little puppy dog. I'm nobody's puppy dog. Two weeks ago a conservative lady who shall not be named, got called a c*nt by a poster here, and I made sure that poster heard about it from me.
Carry on with the less harsh, gender and race neutral insults though.
I get called a @sshole or moron about five times a day. No biggie!
