I'm good with background checks, but like poll taxes, forcing people to pay for exercising their constitutional rights only sets a boundary where rich people can afford to exercise their rights.

while i basically agree with you on this one, how do we pay for it, from the general tax fund? and if so, the repugs will scream about the rising deficit or about the need to raise revenue for the whole background system which should be federally funded with funds going to law enforcement agencies to pay for inputting data to the system...TANSTAFL

Centrists are people who are like, oh I see both sides, oh I agree with choice but I think it goes too far when women are having three abortions, oh I agree with gun rights but I am for some restrictions, oh I am for lower taxes but these tax cuts for the rich are going too far...they are not ideological.
