By the way...I doubt that anyone ever willingly PREFERS living on the edge of poverty.

However, I absolutely LOVE the fact that I am able to be content with much less than plenty.

One does not have to be living on the street to be on the edge of poverty.

Actually, I am not living on the edge of poverty anymore. An aunt that I loved and helped a lot while she was alive...died two years ago. She left me a very, very nice sum...and so my circumstances have changed...as far as having money.

But I have not changed a single thing in my life. I was content with what I could buy with the meager funds I had...and I am content to live that same kind of life now. My wife, who is 19 years younger than I, will be ale to use that money when I kick the bucket. The courses I play are as interesting and well tended as most private courses. I pity that you think a big car or house...or a country club is better than a smaller car that works or a comfortable smaller home...or a public golf course.

We can talk about this for a bit. It is more important than most might think...probably more important than you think.

Does any president ever ? If you have that standard, Trump fails as no president ever. Biden was fine. He showed that the meme about him being brain-damaged is not true. I hoped some rightys would see the Biden appearance and admit that what they believed about his mental state was false. Instead, like you, they are trying to find something that was imperfect. Address the big picture. Biden showed he is not brain-damaged.
Define sharp as a tack. He answered questions, showed a sense of humor and gave a speech that was very good and on point. Trump cannot do that.

A billionaire wants to be the first trillionaire. Never content with being a billionaire.

Some people want to spend their whole lives dissatisfied and try to make that a positive...a sign of great enterprise.

It isn't, Earl. It is bullshit. A content poor person IS more successful than a discontent billionaire.

But...strive. Screw contentment. Leave that for the losers...in your mind.
