There are many experts who see Corona as undercounted. They autopsied some people in Cali who died in December and they found Corona. It was here before Trump says. There are people who died alone in their homes. This argument is like Trump's view on the Cruise ship. I don't want them to disembark because they will change my numbers and make me look bad. He was not prompted by finding the truth or seeking to identify the problem. Just appearances and politics.
It is also why Trump delayed testing. He knew real testing would tell us the problem he was scoffing at was real and had to be dealt with.

It is true that Corona was probably here as early as last fall. California probably had it back then. It also was likely a weaker strain at the time, so that's why people likely mistook it for the flu. A more lethal strain eventually made its way to NY later on, hence so many deaths.

However, this should illustrate that continuous shutdowns aren't needed. You can maintain social distancing and higher sanitation standards without shutdowns, and the economy deals with it better. While the weather is warm, we need to open up, in order to brace for more isolation in the fall and winter.

It's not shocking at all that you're dead wrong. In fact, the COVID death counts are underestimated by thousands.

https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsa...y-higher-other-covid-stats-need-adjusting-too

The U.S. has the most coronavirus deaths of any country in the world — on May 11, the death toll passed 80,000.

And that's likely an undercount.

"Almost certainly it's higher," said Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, at a virtual Senate hearing on Tuesday. "There may have been people who died at home who were not counted as COVID because they never really got to the hospital."

We'll probably never know the true death count in China, but it likely is far higher than anything we've seen here.

Once again, the problem with the death count overall is that a lot of people are being listed as killed by COVID that haven't been proven as such. That doesn't sound like undercounting to me.

Granted, if you really want to know why the deaths have been high -- it's largely due to the ridiculous policy of forcing nursing homes to keep or receive COVID patients. Without such policies in place, far fewer elderly would have gotten the disease or died.

Unfortunately, these policies are still in place in many states.

Now everybody's gonna starve, stupid fucks!
What good did that do anybody, motherfuckers? Absolutely none.

Everyone is not going to starve. We are living through bad times, but there have been worse.

Lets investigate what we did wrong to get us stuck here. It is only common sense to figure out what went wrong, so we can do better. Why is trump against figuring out what went wrong?

And zero debt but I live poor because I am a simply guy
I have 1.3 million in the bank

Why on Earth would you keep $1.3 million in the bank? You get almost no return on your savings, and if the bank goes under, you lose a million dollars.

The left orchestrated this thing.
Wanted to tank the economy and then blame it on Trump.
Well, he listened to you dumbasses, so you're going to get everything you wanted and a whole lot more.
That food you like to eat? That restaurant you like to go to? GONE!
That's reality. This is no joke. You fuckers wanted scorched earth, now you got it.

Many are in mutual funds and index funds !!!
Some are assets that I have 1/3 inheritance on
Total cash is only like 550,000

No, they did not know of it so it was not on their lists of possible illnesses.
Shutdowns really did not happen. We could still go to walks, parks and the market.

I should clarify what I meant. I'm saying California survived what was possibly a very early wave of COVID without any shutdown or even social distancing.

Now it is true that the nastier strain of COVID that is out there is more lethal, but I think we can deal with it without too much more isolation.

That's easy: "Listen to the experts."
