Time To Recognize Who We Are; Reunite America

All of a sudden in the blink of an eye, the left wants us to be united after 4 years of stiring up strife and division; hypocrites.

It is amazing isn’t it?

For years they stomped their feet about non existent Russian collusion now they go all Rodney King. Fuck that. I would rather see it all burn to the ground than give an inch to a Marxist.

When they say “we have to agree on facts” it is a dog whistle for you have to agree with them.

But hey I am willing to give them a chance to agree on facts

FACT abortion kills a baby. Will they agree?

FACT there is no such thing as man made global warming. Will they agree with me

FACT there is no systemic racism in America. Will they agree with me?

FACT blacks are not shot by cops in a high percentage. Will they agree with me?

If they aren’t willing to accept those basic facts then we cannot unite

Yes, you are a troll. Bye.

Don't leave. Bring it here to the big guy

Hello cawacko,

As Americans there is far more that unites us than divides us (imo), although reading boards like this and the fringe of social media where people wish ill and death on each other as a regular occurrence might lead one to think otherwise.

Nothing wrong with being passionate about politics and having the occasional heated debate but it takes two to tango we can all look in the mirror first about how we behave and act towards others. (Now lets all hold hands and sing kumbaya)

Well said.

And of course we would be well to keep in mind that an online board like this is going to attract a non-representatively high number of anti-social types who have no other way to relate to people than to go online and troll. I would like to be able to talk plainly with them but the way they go off on me precludes that. Basically, I only spend a bit of my time here and I would rather it be talking with well-adjusted minds rather than dealing with emotional outbursts that I do not find enjoyable.

I don't come here to be the target of a tormented mind trying to unload their frustration on me.

I am here for academic discussions, staying well informed, and learning. That's my interest in this place. And after all, it is what you make it.

Hello BartenderElite,

We have one group that voted for a political party, and one that voted for a cult.

I hope we can unite - but we have a ways to go.

It's a tall order but nobody ever said self-governing would be easy.

Look on the bright side. We could still be part of the UK.

Hello votebiden,

At this point, we'd be better off as a UK colony.

I don't think so, but I think we can make some great improvements if we stay focused and work at it.

Part of that has to be convincing enough of the right to let us make the needed upgrades to our country.

Now, you would think that they would let us tax the super rich more to pay for it?

I can't in my wildest dreams imagine how being part of the UK wouldn't be infinitely better than what we've got now.
I don't mean part of the Commonwealth.
I mean the fifth nation, along with Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales, in the actual UK.

The National Health Service alone makes the UK a better place than America. That alone.

Have you spent much time in the UK, PoliTalker?
My daughter went to school there.
I love it there.
The food sucks, but you can get American style food if you want.
There was a TGIF right in Piccadilly Circus.
There was a Dunkin Donuts across the street from Windsor Castle.

OK, maybe Manhattan, Las Vegas, and San Francisco are as nice as the UK.
But for the most part, are you kidding me?

But here's the thing.
I'm not welcome to move there.
They ask to see my return ticket as soon as I get there.

So whether people like it or not, I have to spend what's left of my life trying to make things over here better.
To me, the easiest way is separating from the Red States.
The crackers there are reptiles. I've spent plenty enough time there as well I know.

I don't think there's anything easy about separating the red and blue States.

That would take agreement from both sides.

You can't get the two sides to agree on anything.

Sheldon Adelson can afford to pay some taxes.

Oh, horseshit!

Take your medicine like a man...stop with the cry-baby bit.

As for socialism...it has put China into position as the second largest economy in the world...and since the Chinese are smart enough to borrow from capitalism a bit, they probably soon will be number one in the world.

Unless America is smart enough to borrow a bit from the socialists.
Yes, they will surpass the USA in a few years short of a miracle.....

PPP-Economy /
China Economy
China overtakes US as No 1 in buying power, but still clings to developing status
China’s gross domestic product ranked No 1 in the world in 2017 when based on purchasing power parity, the World Bank says in a new report
But the national statistics agency insists China should still not be measured alongside developed countries like the US

The cheating by the Democrats is not an illusion.
I think it just isn't true Earl............ It would sure be convenient, but sometimes things are as they seem, trump lost & folks should try to move on.......

I hope when the decisions are made, & Trump concedes you will accept it for what it is....... Liking it is not required.......

Your posts are groan-able and I have never cheated in an election.

Hate is all I have seen toward President Trump and anyone who supports him.

Take the house from your own eyes, Billy.

You seem to think everyone's posts are groanable.......

I have never cheated in one either nor have the vast majority of Americans........

Hate is all you seen towards Trump, & your blind eye saw nothing of the same from you & yours for Obama........lol

Judge your own behavior by the same measure as you do others.......

It does take two.... Many are here for this very reason-to argue & call names etc........ :dunno:

Only a fool would assume ppl posting here or on boards in general are representative of the general public.............

In this environment many ppl take it all to seriously, & many, sadly take themselves to seriously..

Now you lead us all in a round of kumbaya & talk about how we should buy the world a coke........... :)

Hello Bill,

I disagree.

One individual certain makes a nearly nonexistent difference, but the combination of a lot of individuals who think what they do doesn't matter - DOES MATTER.

Matters to who??

If by some miracle everyone here turned to Trump lovers or all Trump haters nothing changes in the world but here.......

There will be 20-50 more-less lovers or haters~the world goes on & it goes unnoticed........

Ppl here are not changing the opinions of others moreless the world......

They want to do that, they need to set there laptop/tablet/pc or phone down & hit the streets...

Wrong, Billy. I didn't hate Obama. I just believed he was an incompetent, do nothing president who divided the country by race, gender and wealth.
President Trump and his family were attacked daily, hourly by the far left loons. He was impeached (and EXONERATED in the Senate). His supporters were attacked by the far left thugs in BLM and ANTIFA.

My judgement in those cases is that they are thugs that rioted, looted.burned, assaulted and murdered and the left was silent.

OK, we are talking about different things. We are each correct in the realms we are considering.

You're saying that what we say and do here at JPP doesn't matter or change anything.

I am looking at it in the macroscopic sense, looking at not just what we say here at JPP, but what we say and do as Americans in the world.

So, sure. Yeah. I agree. There is not much point in trying to change views here at JPP.

But there is a point to speaking up about how we, as Americans, see things. We are a self-governing nation. We have to talk about what's going on in order to manage our government.

One of the biggest problems for our system is actually apathy. Simply not too few citizens taking the initiative to manage our country. It would be best if everyone did it. If nobody did it, if nobody even bothered to vote, the country would cease to function. We are not at either extreme, but somewhere along the spectrum from one extreme to the other. The best case for America lies at one end of the extreme, with everyone well informed, engaged and involved, and the worst case is at the opposite end, total apathy, where having our country would not even be possible.

It is helpful to the country to encourage more people to take that initiative, whether it be in person or in an internet chat room.
