Trump's rhetoric is something totally new in the world. In no small way I think of it as an outgrowth of the American penchant for the "dream President" where he's just like a regular guy and he doesn't put up with shit. We see it in all the movies. The president is pushed to the point of all human effort and finally just "says it like it is". Americans love that stuff.

Trump is straight out of central casting for that populist role (his grotesque wealth aside). And in true populist fashion he's lying whenever his lips are moving. Or he is attempting to poorly vamp his way through a conversation he doesn't even begin to understand.
