Just because your neighborhood is filled with chickenshits, I'm presuming you/they live in a high density population area, doesn't mean all believe that way. Additionally, even counties can vary in attitude much less individual States.

EDIT: Again, there's a difference between fear and concern. Even if a person says "I'm scared of COVID!", doesn't it still depend upon what they are scared about it? If they say "I'm afraid to die", then take away their Man Card and never, ever talk to them again. Ever.

If, however, they say "My son/wife/mother living with us is very sick and COVID would most certainly kill them", then isn't that "fear" a little more understandable?

I dont count those with legitimate concerns. These people are young and healthy.

Define what are my, my loved ones or my neighbors "legitimate concerns", please.

Look at their ages, think about how you were like at their age? Some of us had to wait 5 years for betamax and home computers while other voters weren't even alive for 9/11. There's a difference of attitude in both age per se and the age we grew up in. That said, I strongly believe adversity breeds character. Our nation, yes, beginning with the fucking Boomers like myself, have been soft too long. Our nation faces many severe challenges and it's going to be the newest generation of voters who are left the task of fixing it.

Elderly, prior pulmonary issues, generally poor health.
What are normally referred to as "high risk".

Do you think their concern, as compared to a 40something, warrants more concern? Less? The Same? Again, when does "concern" become "fear"?

In my previous job, I sometimes had a great concern about fucking up since I could get killed. Taking a bunch of people with me was a big concern too. You can't imagine the amount of paperwork involved if someone gets injured much less killed under your watch.

Was I afraid? No. Was I concerned? You bet your sweet bippy! :D
