tRump fails at trying to secure British Open. Simply more of the tRump cesspool.

Trump wanted to use the ambassador as his business agent. That is not in the job description. Trump has always filtered the actions of the government through his profiting.

Well, we knew that something was "rotten" when he chose an NFL owner as his ambassador.

Isn't it established that The Open can only be played at one of seven different courses?

It was at Turnberry 4 times. The last was 2009. However, it is set for other courses for the next 2 years. I read there are 10 on the list. It is at Royal St, George in 2021 and St Andrews in 2022. The list was changed due to Corona. There was a longer list with no Turnberry on it.
Golf Digest did an article saying the Trump ambassador did bring it up, but the British ambassador said it would be improper for him to discuss it or bring it up to Brit Golf. Trump does not care about proper.

Yeah, I was just flipping through the list on Wiki. Apparently it was at nine, and then they added the course from Northern Ireland last year.

The moronic idiot ass trumpanzees have enabled tRump to the point that he thinks that he can do anything he wants and that the rules dont apply to him.

Not like Trump was the first to try pitching a sporting event in his favor

https://www.npr.org/templates/story...n,Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo are the contenders.

Only Obama was far more crass in that he made the pitch in person, a first (and hopefully last) for a US President.

You honestly cannot understand the difference? really? Trump was making a personal profit off the Open. Obama would not profit off of the Olympics. It is considered a huge boon to cities involved and the prestige of the government. Try a little.

Obama might not but all his buddies in Chicago would. Same difference. Either way it was for personal gain.

No, it is not. Obama had zero personal gain. Trump was doing it specifically for his gain. Try and make sense. You are failing.
How about listing Obama's "buddies" who were making out. The fact is corporations do. You cannot list his friends because you made it up-.

You really don't think that if Obama does some personal friends a favor that nets them a pile of cash they won't return the favor? Obama's mansion before he was elected President--well before--was such an arrangement. Quid pro quo is equally bad to self-enrichment.

Who cares about the stupid golf tournament anyway?

You trumpanzees are getting worse and worse with your sad attempts at deflection.......lol

It's about the influence peddling from the "con clown" in the White House. You know, the "swamp creature" that you helped elect.
