Respected by whom? I doubt outside the radical Left you'd be hard pressed to find someone who really respects him as a person.

Your doubts are personal. He has moved way past the crimes of the past. He is a respected educator and a sought after speaker. He has written many books on education. There are many who respect what he had done and what he says. You make that response with no background in Ayers at all. He holds the position of Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar. I think he gets lots of respect.

The British Open is the biggest European tournament of the year. It has the most sponsors, the most corporate tents, the largest TV audience. It is a real money maker. The concessions and prices are expensive and there are lots of them. It also adds prestige to the course that gets it. I can see why Trump wants it, but using the ambassador as his agent is disgusting.
