Which two countries invaded Poland then? Chile and Mongollia, perhaps? Read some history, lad. And what, for God's sake, to you suppose the Hitler-Stalin Pact was about. It was to save the USSR from invasion.
 
I suppose it is a result of Senator McCarthy's work. but it does astound me that Americans can be so ignorant of the Hitler-Stalin Pact, even supposing that it mean anyone supported Hitler, rather than the Pact itself. It had, in fact, very powerful effects on the CP, then and later. Harry Pollitt, almost our MP in '45, withdrew quietly from his role as CP leader in the UK until Hitler attacked the USSR, for instance. The Pact was an act of desperation at a time when 'the West' hoped to use Hitler to overthrow the Revolution.
