Lawyers for former President Donald Trump discovered more classified materials in January and gave them to federal investigators, multiple reports say.

Among the materials turned in were papers with classified markings, an empty folder with classified markings, and the laptop of one of Trump's aides, multiple news outlets reported.

The classified documents were discovered at Mar-a-Lago, but not in the area where Trump stored the batch of materials seized during the August search of his home by FBI agents, ABC News reported.

Sources told ABC News that James Trusty, Trump's attorney, told federal investigators that classified materials had been electronically copied onto the laptop of the aide.

ABC News was the first to break the news of additional documents being turned over on Friday.

So he did like Brandon and turned them in? Getting smarter... first time I've seen him learn from a mistake.

This is a big problem for Trump. It goes beyond a passive act to overt act. I'm not really sure how much worse it can get for the guy at this point, he is dead to rights now on multiple crimes, and it looks like everyone is just standing around waiting for someone to go first. I'm betting on Jack Smith.

Considering the fact that Trump is on financial shaky ground, and his relationship with Putin, and then considering that Trump only cares about himself, and has no ethics or patriotic beliefs; I won't put it past him to use this secret info for his personal gain.

Of course he didn't turn them in, they were found by his lawyers who continue to search his property for classified docs. How did classified material just happen to be on a computer?

It’s easier for Trump to give them to the highest bidder if they are on a laptop.

Well, he's got the "Hillary defense" going for him on that one...

After all, if Trump is guilty for having classified data on a computer outside the control of government, then Hillary is and should be charged too...

I’ve always thought Hillary got off easy for her violations. However, there is huge degree of difference between what Trump did and what Pence, Biden, Hillary and others are guilty of doing.

Do you know what you're talking about????????????????

I love your optimism. I think the discovery of documents at Biden and Pence's residences, even though those two cooperated, is going to make it politically tough for Garland to indict. I think twump might have to pay a fine, but no criminal indictment.

It's very likely he already has. He's a show-off, so I'm sure he's shared the docs with his buddies.
