Trump loses one "sure" vote.

Well, it sounds as if you don't believe in taxation. If that's the case, then there's no point in discussing the tax giveaway.

That is the same as saying you "don't believe in taxation" because you use the SALT deduction (or any other legal deductions). You use those deductions because you want to pay as little as possible. We accomplish the same thing by lowering the tax rate, adding deductions, etc.

SALT deductions are 'state and local taxes'. How is paying taxes, not paying taxes?

Now, the ability to pay nothing in taxes was handed to the top earners, and corporations in this law. While the lower class gets to double their standard deduction.

All taxpayers get the SALT deduction if they have enough deductions to itemize--70% do not and cannot use it. Getting a big deduction for SALT means less federal income taxes paid which must be made up (borrowed) by those taxpayers from lower tax states that do not get as large a deduction.
And many pay no state taxes.

Salt is paying state and local taxes but lowering your federal income tax owed. Tax cuts have increased the percentage of total federal income taxes paid by top earners. The standard deduction increase will primarily benefit the middle class because the lower income (bottom 40%) already had their federal income taxes almost eliminated by the Bush-Obama tax cuts.

Empty rhetoric. The issue is the middle income earners who pay for everyone else.

Carried interest wasn't removed. Pass throughs directly help those like trump. And...they got rid of the alternative minimum tax. Say nothing of the almost 3% marginal tax rate cut...as if anyone pays marginal rates. No corporate taxes on money earned overseas either.

Easy. Live in a state with no/very low sales/property tax. Or no state income taxes

They are just paying lower taxes, they are not avoiding paying any sales or property taxes. I think all states have a property tax and a sales tax on gasoline.

Mitt Romney will be the Jeff Flake of this Senate, will there be others?

Who among the Republican Senators has the strength of courage to stand up to Rump?

Maybe Romney, like Brain Tumor McCain is pissed because he couldn't be an unqualified black for President.

It is not the middle income earners who pay for everyone else.

Total Percentage of Federal Income Taxes Paid (2014)[CBO]

Bottom 20%: 0.3%
2nd 20%: 3.7%
Middle 20%: 8.9%
4th 20%: 17.1%
Top 20%: 69.8%

Semantics. Fascinating that you don't cite local/sales taxes now. You do realize that we're talking about the tax law that was passed in '17?
