If Putin had thought that sanctions would cripple his country, he would not have invaded the Ukraine.

We don't really know how bad Putin thought the sanctions would be, this is very early days. In my view, while history is playing out, few, if any, really glean the full implications. One thing I feel this has already done is strengthen the NATO alliance. Decades in the future, NATO may include Finland and Sweden because of this, we don't know.
Jack, look at the facts on the ground.
Putin has gained a large chunk of the Ukraine without firing a shot.
Biden has gained out of control gas and energy prices and a tanking stock market.
We do know what Putin has gained in the present.
We do know what Biden has lost...in the present.
“May” is not a plan.

Yes, Republicans just can't stop gushing their admiration and adulation of the Kremlin, and Russian state television will use the video footage repeatedly to demostrate the weakness of America.
I worked my way through college, Jack...partial athletic scholarship and partial academic scholarship.
The parallel between Germany and the US is that we have a weak leader who is being exploited by a strong and very smart leader.
Putin has already demonstrated the weak leadership of the US.
If the 2020 presidential election had not been stolen by the Democrats, this crisis would not be happening. The Russians invaded the Ukraine during Biden’s watch.

Agreed. Trump was Putin's lapdog who was bent on dismantling NATO, and the Republican party at large has been turned into a fifth column of Putin collaborators.
