Trump Sold a $40 Million Estate to a Russian Oligarch for $100 Million Dem asks why

I know he is the wealthiest man on the planet taking 1/2 of all deals in Russia.
Not sure that proves the money came from him.

1. You think he could do that alone?
2. How would any other Oligarchs become wealthy if he got half of everything and shared nothing?

1. Of course not, but that doesn't implicate Trump.
2. Take a half leaves a half to wet any beak. Still doesn't tie up the loose ends implicating Trump. The mere existence of wealthy Oligarks and a wealthy Putin is not a case to put Trump in jail that I would try .

Putn is rich, Oligarks are rich, some rich Russian guy paid way too much for a Trump white elephant. OK that's not proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt
by 12 unanimous good and true anywhere. Not even close.

I'm going to try and find an article I read awhile ago. When trump bought the estate he said it was in very poor condition and would need a lot of rehabbing. But he only made superficial improvements on it, not enough to raise the new asking price by double.

Just found it: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/business/article135187364.html

the article certainly makes it look like an arms length transaction.......money launderers do not involve real estate agents and list the property for sale for two years. lowering the price by $25million......

you act like this just turned up in the normal course of an investigation. Do you think it's some kind of Russian collusion to launder money-and needs to be investigated in that scenario?
Or do you think the fact it was sold to a Russian is the reason for investigation?

If the buyer wan't a Russian (with no known ties to the Russian intelligence) would Mueller be looking ? No.

The impetus for this is the fact it was sold to da Russians

No shit, Einstein

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why our real estate prices are through the roof.

Decades of corruption and false inflated market prices are why we pay 850K for a house worth 250K.

So I guess the "market" will adjust itself to have the comps in the neighborhood priced at 90-95 million?

really?......a 6.5 acre over the top mansion raised the rent on your studio apartment?.....values for houses are set by what a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept for similar properties......not by what something in the top 1% sold for....

comps in the neighborhood

did you ever ask anyone what "comps" meant?.......

i have to read more about this, but it's obvious Mueller is fishing - good points

One rule of real estate is summed up in the term "whatever the market will bear".

It's the highest price you can sell your goods at in the market you are in. And, the market was not terrific in 2008.

You don't know that. Neither of us has a clue what Meuller has in his files.
If the money was from Cypress the lack of reasonable consideration alone is a red flag
to look into it.
So, no, I reject your posit as paranoid suspicion of an entirely predictable Trump hack.
Now, the fact that it IS Russian loot, is a fact making it dovetail with the purpose of electoral aspect of
the investigation. So I'm afraid it is not a point in your favor. That works against you.
No one thing is going to dictate this, and the idea that Meuller is only looking at it because it is Russia
is bunk. Besides, this is old news. We all spoke of it before the election, this shady deal.
no it is not "reasonable". Mueller isn't a bank auditor,or tax investigator, he's tasked with Russian collusion and related matters.

So the fact it was a Russian buyer AND NOT SOMEONE ELSE - is the reason Mueller is looking into it.
The driving motivation is a Russian buyer, not a shady deal, since Mueller would not be interested otherwise.

Then there is this absurdity meme that somehow Putin and Trump have this extended relationship
going back before 2008 with an underpinning of Russian collusion to swing the election.
It's laughable - even more so then this stupidity of "Russian collusion" itself

Understate much?

Damn you are fucking ignorant.

I didn't say it was conclusive guilt of Trump.
