Trump wants to impeach judges now

All of this is true. Saying he wants to impeach a judge is among his rights, Roberts has a right to say it is wrong. Neither of them have the power to impeach anyone or to stop Congress from impeaching someone if they vote in articles of impeachment. Neither of them can force 2/3 of the Senate to vote to convict and thus remove the judge either. If the Senate does vote to convict on the articles of Impeachment after a hearing the SCOTUS cannot save him even if they think it is "wrong" to do this. It isn't within their power to stop the checks and balances that were designed into the system.
I really do not see any point in impeaching judges without real evidence of wrong doing. There is no way they will be convicted. And trump never seems to be able to come up with the evidence.

But talking about it a lot, even without evidence, can gin up the right wing terrorists, and get some judges killed. So I do see the point in that.

They are guilty of making rulings according to the law. That is not what Trump wants. He wants whatever he wants to be approved by judges. Anything else is a crime.

I find it unlikely that judges will be killed. I do think that Trump is using controlled chaos like he always does... He'll play this out, then go through appeals, as soon as it is in appeal he'll switch. You will be talking about this, saying judges are going to die, he'll be working on changing the language used from "undocumented immigrants" to "invaders and predators"... while you are still upset that he said "impeach" back then... by the time it gets to SCOTUS the whole thing will have moved on from "impeach" and the Overton Window will be on "invaders and predators"...

If you cannot see that such vocabulary is out of the norm for Trump and figure out why he might be using it instead of his normal simpler vocabulary that he uses to ensure folks will underestimate him in negotiations then you deserve what will happen.

This sounds a lot like the MAGA instruction early in Trump's political career that we should take him seriously, but not literally.

Why, exactly, do people want this in a world leader?

Because The folks that like him like the end result.

This isn't about "don't take him literally" this is about "pay attention to the past"... If you ignore what he's done in the past and work from "boy he talks like a fourth grader" you will be holding yet another hand full of water and trying to grip harder.

I get that you do not like his methods, but he seems to get the result he wants utilizing them. Folks that voted for him want that end result.

I'm still in a "character counts" mentality.

It's very quaint now.

This isn't about character, it is about strategy. This is what he does to get things to go his way. It's worked repeatedly as leftists stand there wondering how "that idiot" did it again. :dunno:

What has worked, exactly?
First, the left believes he is "stupid" because of his deliberate use of small words in his vocabulary. He uses that as a negotiating tactic to get folks he is going to negotiate with to believe that they have the upper hand. He is far more savvy than many folks who dislike the "orange man" believe.

Pay attention when he starts using words like "invaders and predators" instead of "bad guys" and "illegals" find where those words are used.

Anyway, what I am talking about here is how he utilizes controlled chaos in foreign relations and in political negotiation. He'll say one thing while moving in a different direction entirely while folks focus on the "outrageous" thing he said. He then brings the conversation to what he wants, either utilizing "fake news" narrative to get coverage or through what I used to call Twitler... but is now X.

He is distracting you from "invaders and predators" purposefully. He knows that the judge will never be impeached and especially not removed, but while you are all talking about "impeach judges" and think Roberts' warning means Roberts is "against" him (we'll get into that later if I have time) he'll be moving the Overton Window and folks will be holding conversations about the "invaders and predators" while the left is stuck on "impeach judges" as his appeals go forward.

You have GOT to be kidding me. That's your answer to "what has worked?" You wrote a lot, but literally didn't post one thing that has worked so far.

It sounds like you're under the spell. Trump isn't who you think he is. I think his supporters project what they want to see onto him - and simply do not see him. He's not savvy, or smart. He has a great talent for manipulating and fooling people, and that's it.

And using chaos & shiny objects to confuse, distract and obfuscate should not be celebrated, imo.

Got it. Well, when SCOTUS is ruling on this, we may revisit what I have said and see if what I said is what is happening. I'm happy to say I saw it wrong if I did, but I am basing it on past experience and observations and think I have it pegged. I believe that I know where this is going, why, and what his main goal is.

Timing will be important he'll need to pivot as soon as the appeal is taken up, if he is too slow or it takes too long he may still fail.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if you believe he is an idiot savant or that he is "savvy" if the left does not pay attention to what he is saying and how they will once again be wondering how it all happened...

When he said Haitian migrants are eating "cats & dogs," a conservative pundit commented that while it might not be true, it got people talking about immigration.

Meanwhile, there were threats against the hard-working migrants of Springfield, and at least one college had to start holding remote classes because of bomb threats.

I'm not cool w/ that, or w/ Trump's other "shiny objects." We get what we settle for. If we don't set the bar higher, we have no right to complain when leaders lie to us consistently and try to "trick" us.

I don't want a President for whom that is strategy. I don't care how effective it is (and I do not think it really is, ultimately).

Trump demands Supreme Court's John Roberts rein in judges

An ominous warning?

President Donald Trump demanded that Chief Justice John Roberts and the U.S. Supreme Court rein in federal judges who have issued injunctions around the country that have impeded an array of his policies.

"It is our goal to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and such a high aspiration can never be done if Radical and Highly Partisan Judges are allowed to stand in the way of JUSTICE. STOP NATIONWIDE INJUNCTIONS NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!" Trump said in a Truth Social post on Thursday.

The post resumes a clash between the leaders of two of America's three branches of government amid escalating attacks by Republicans on federal judges who have determined Trump's sweeping actions in the first two months of his term were unconstitutional.

Earlier this week, Trump called for the impeachment of Chief U.S. District James Boasberg, a lifetime appointee who'd ruled against one of his deportation policies in a D.C. federal court. Republican members of Congress responded by filing articles of impeachment against Boasberg, though it is unclear that House leaders will allow them to move forward.

Roberts' response hours later suggested the president was defying a bedrock principle of American government by proposing impeachment as an acceptable response to a judicial decision Trump doesn't like.

Trump's post appears to highlight his concern that federal judges in jurisdictions across the U.S. have the power to issue nationwide injunctions, halting the federal government from acting even beyond the boundaries of their court's regional jurisdiction.

Fuck you asshole. You supported the assassination of your president so, fuck you!

Only if you believe being a bullheaded bully is a strategy. The Democrats have been on cruise control for years and now they are at a loss of what to do. The Republicans who put country above party were run out as "RINOs". Trump made sure that happened in 2018. Now there are only sycophants, autocrats and those who worry more about their jobs than their duty.

Both parties have used divisive tactics for years and now it has come to bite them in their asses. Only when a bunch of Americans end up dead will this nonsense stop.

Even Trump dropping dead won't stop this since the momentum is on the side of the autocrats. America needs a catharsis. Trump ordering a National Guard to open up on protesting Americans and butchering dozens of men, women and children would provide that catharsis.

As Bush said, Trump is the chaos candidate. He is the chaos president too. So we are supposed to accept that he will smokescreen his real intentions?
His end goals are clear. He works for more money and power for himself. He is very selfish and superficial. he does not care about the country or its people.
He became a Repub because he saw how easy it would be to take the party over.
He is a very good con man who can read his people. He knows what they want to hear and he provides it.

Trump wants to impeach judges now

Trump wants to impeach some judges now, yes. It's not as though Trump is somehow attacking the judiciary.

The Red Hat Club, plus their media, have labeled the Judge Boasberg a leftist, Trump even called him a “Radical Left Lunatic, “
Yes, he is an activist judge who should be disbarred and never allowed to practice law. Boasberg can get a job in the real world.

yet the Judge was originally appointed to the Bench by [an establishment Republican who was fine with political activism and wanted to appear to "reach across the aisle" as it were and appoint a token political activist for the left, and bank those points for any future favors that might be needed].
FTFY. Yes, and your point would be what?

No matter what Trump says, the TDS-cult will not believe it, not accept it, and will profess the opposite as fact
FTFY. Yep, there's no helping this leftist bunch. They are incorrigible and eternally non-value-added.

As Bush said, Trump is the chaos candidate.
Coming from Bush, it is dismissed.

So we are supposed to accept that he will smokescreen his real intentions?
Who, Bush? Sure. Trump? You've got to be out of your mind. Trump and his cabinet hold a bajillion press conferences, all consistent, explaining what they are going to do, what they are doing when they do it, and what they have done when they fulfill the promises they made.

His end goals are clear.
That's what I'm saying. Just listen to any press conference. You can't get any clearer than that.

He works for more money and power for himself.
You didn't do well on the SAT. Ask me how I know.

Trump works to make America great again, and to put Americans first. Yes, Trump will benefit in the same way all Americans will.

He is very selfish and superficial.
Says the eternal liar. If this were a logic puzzle, one would be able to conclude that Trump is very selfless and genuine.

he does not care about the country or its people.
Outside of Making America great and putting Americans first, sure, you make a strong case.

He became a Repub because he saw how easy it would be to take the party over.
Trump became a Republican for the same reason that lifelong Democrats Robert Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard became Republicans, and for the same reason that the DNC is hemorrhaging in numbers every day. Democrats are the reason that Trump became a Republican.
