If impeached, Judge James E. Boasberg would likely be charged, not so much with breaking the law, but with breaking his oaths (plural), one as a lawyer to uphold the Constitution, and one as a judge to administer justice without respect to persons.
Abandoning his oaths in the course of being a judge is not protected speech.

Den Hollander, an alt right "men's rights advocate" gunned down the son and husband of a judge a few years ago. Judges become obvious targets when people get angry. This is especially true with the alt right demonizing them.
