Well for one thing our AUTO industry uses a lot of Chinese parts in the production of American cars.
And as for raising taxes on US corps.
well just how many are right now raking in record profits and NOT paying a cent in US income taxes?
And on top of that still getting tax breaks and grants and using other government programs to make those record profits.
Shouldn't they pay something in income taxes?

So to maintain those record profits they will just pass corporate taxes onto the consumers.

Corporations never pay taxes. Consumer do.

We need to shift essential industries back to the US . Tariffs help do that.

Yes and they will pass on the increase in goods they use to build American products that have components in them from other countries and the increased cost of shipping those goods because the price of oil will also have tariffs on it .
It is the CONSUMER that will be hurt by Trumps tariffs NOT the exporting countries.
Trump's tariffs of 25/30/40 percent or MORE across the board will only hurt the AMERICAN consumer and as some of the worlds top economists have said could cause a recession / depression.
But that is okay with the MAGAS that is what they want and when Trump does do it it will be what they get.
They cried about inflation under Biden and prices will go up a lot more when these tariffs are put in place.
And then watch them cry.
Heck some of them are now having second thoughts about voting for Trump and his tariffs.
It is too late now to go back, they got what they wanted now don't cry about it.

Sounds like you are saying if the cost to corporations like components, wages, and taxes go up, they pass the cost on to consumers. Turning into a republican are you?

FUCK NO, Just telling the truth,
Anybody with half a brain knows when the cost of ant to a company goes up they pass that cost on to the consumer and with Trump's Tariffs being so high it is really going to hurt everybody.
